unconstructive edit, Uxbridge, MA

Hi, I corrected the name of village in this article. If you look it up on the maps it is spelled that way, without an s. I corrected the historic district write up as a redirect so it should all match. I think that is all that I was doing that you caught but let me know if not. Thanks. talk 04:10, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SMS Gateway

Would you mind checking out Talk:SMS Gateway. You've reverted constructive edits to WP - we had a blank section and I added information to it. Yes, it could be better and perhaps have a better source, but until there is an alternative it is suitable. Please comment on the talk page. See ya! 209.152.84.17 (talk) 17:01, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to Peter Woit

Could you give a little more rationale at Talk:Peter Woit for your edits to the article? I know that some of Stinkdiagram's wording is contentious, but it doesn't appear to be blatant vandalism. As a result, it looks like there's a bit of an edit war going on in the article. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 17:57, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dalek

Once again not worth putting the article on hold. I have placed a {{fact}} template where it is not clear where the source of the information is coming from. This need correcting before promotion! Million_Moments (talk) 19:37, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The reason why it was confusing in this instance is that you provided a reference for something else first, that could not have been a reference for the information before it. Million_Moments (talk) 19:46, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I screwed up the edit summary. My bad. THE KC (talk) 01:10, 16 March 2008 (UTC).[reply]

A Question

What did I do wrong on the George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher article. I organized my information and cited sources. How am I a vandal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jumanji656 (talkcontribs) 02:37, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: WP:AIV

Please stop reporting users who made only 1 or 2 edits and those are vandalisms. They need to receive warning as well as giving time for them to learn. OhanaUnitedTalk page 03:20, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: User:Malariafoundation

I noticed your edit to Wikipedia:Help_desk at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Help_desk&diff=next&oldid=198551373 which reverted an edit by Malariafoundation (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log).

When a user, particularly a new one, adds text in the wrong place, it is usually best to move the text to the appropriate place in the article rather than reverting the user's edit. In this case, I have left a message about copyright on the user's talk page, and another editor has left one about notability, so I didn't restore the user's question at Wikipedia:Help_desk.

Fighting vandals is important, but we all have to bear in mind that newbies sometimes make honest mistakes without intending to do anything wrong. --Eastmain (talk) 03:48, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Neither of the edits made by this user that you reverted and left warnings for look like vandalism or test edits to me. They both appear to be genuine attempts at adding useful information and I can see no reason for the added content not to stay. GA Review for The Economist (Lost)

Hello there. I've reviewed the article The Economist (Lost) which you placed as a Good article Nomination. Looks like a good article overall, but there are a few things which I feel can be done to improve the article. These are listed on the article's talk page, along with instructions for what to do after. Have a good day! Mastrchf91 (t/c) 14:03, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to say that User:Thedemonhog was kind enough to make my requested changes to the article while you were away, and I've passed it. Congratulations on a great article! Mastrchf91 (t/c) 23:13, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Last.fm logo (crimson).png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Last.fm logo (crimson).png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 23:51, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Anonymous (group)

An editor has nominated Anonymous (group), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anonymous (group) (2nd nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:59, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New policy proposal that may be of interest

I'm tapping this message out to you because you were involved at the AfDs of Eve Carson or Lauren Burk. Following both of these heated debates, a new proposal has been made for a guideline to aid these contentious debates, which can be found at WP:N/CA. There is a page for comments at Wikipedia talk:Notability (criminal acts)/Opinions should you wish to make a comment. Thanks for your time, and apologies if this was not of interest! "Fishwrapper" news

If you want to challenge the reliability of the standard news sources, take it to the proper wikipedia forums. "Fishwrapper news" is strictly your personal POV and should have no place in deciding the worthiness of an article. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 16:38, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And whether it's of longterm interest to you personally should have nothing to do with the worthiness of an article. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 16:46, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's of no longterm interest to you, anyway, and that's all that matters, ja?? 21:34, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

I fully appreciate your actions..

But I don't think announcing them on ANI is really the correct way to handle things. Per the request of the user, it was really meant to keep things quiet. SirFozzie (talk) 19:31, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I wasn't vandalizing Daniel Gildenlow's article. I saw that there were some music album titles that weren't in Italics and made it so that they were. And I made the band names to be internal links. I was improving the article. Can Daniel Gildenlow be reverted back to the last edit of mine?

Thanks. Cold103 (talk) 15:18, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the ip 79.211.91.3

This is a sock of User:AFI-PUNK. User:Seraphim Whipp has been actively reverting his edits for several months and has decided to just block the ip as soon as edits are made because he has been warned many times and keeps coming back. Next time you see this sock, I suggest you immediately report him to AIV or to an administrator who can block him. Thanks. Timmeh! 16:17, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

March 2008

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of Doctor Who serials. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. I don't mean this as a warning, of course ;-) But I've been blocked many a time for doing exactly what you're doing now - removing rubbish. Sorry, Will, you must have missed my extra note at the end!! I said I don't mean this as a warning, of course ;-) But I've been blocked many a time for doing exactly what you're doing now - removing rubbish. - I assure that you that there are people who will block for that. Sad but true... Now it's protected it should go better. TreasuryTagtc 17:08, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could I also direct you to this, please? :-O TreasuryTagtc 17:51, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image rules and regulations

I have contact with a newcomer who has questions about image rules. she had a image that she holds the copyright to that got deleted and whants to know why. I have no idea about image rules (it really dosn't interest me to tell the truth) however I know you have been on for a while, and have experience in this area. her question is here [1], she has just goten her first article deleted, and has goten a crash cource in wikipedia policies in the prossess (to tell the context of our conversation). her name is the Hitochi Princess (talk) I hope that you are able to help her, she seems like a great new user who would be able to contribute to the project. Reverting vandalism

Hey Will, I undid your revert to my talk page and the template you left here. The user left a valid, somewhat misguided comment for me. Thanks for keeping an eye out, though. Cheers! —Travistalk 02:52, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
