- Nice article. I went through it, and made some small changes. You will see that I left an html comment in the text at one point where I think you left something out, though: in the section "Pharmacology" you say: "In comparison to Noladin is metabolically more stable" (actually you had said 2GE, not Noladin, but I kinda standardised on "noladin" to avoid confusing readers).
- One more thing: Although png molecular structures are definitely perfectly acceptable, and the one that you drew is 100% OK, there is a growing move to use svg for line-art, so if you are going to be drawing lots of molecules, you might want to look into it. I would very much appreciate the help. Drug Scheduling
Hi there. I was going off the list of scheduled substances on the Tocris website, and would consider them a reliable source seeing as they are the authorised suppliers for these compounds and are the ones who have to deal with the licensing requirements for supplying them. The "official" list on the DEA website is often out of date (note the bit at the top where it says This document is a general reference and not a comprehensive list), and the regulations with updated lists of what they do or do not consider illegal at any one time are not widely publicised. However if you wish to dispute this scheduling then change it back if you like, I can't really be bothered checking with either Tocris or the DEA for confirmation. Yeah I agree "zero abuse potential" is not really wiki language, just a snide dig on my part about the DEA's arbitrary way of scheduling compounds despite their having no possible potential for abuse (makes it really inconvenient for legitimate researchers!), but feel free to change it if you feel the wording is inappropriate.Meodipt (talk) 10:05, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

JWH-073 is active both orally and when vaporised. The smoked dose is about 2-3 mg.
Could please add some more information on this issue. The section right now is not very clear, e.g. "active" in which way, I assume you mean psychoactive. Also the dose is not clear, 2-3 mg for an adult male human? Thanks, Panoramix303 (talk) 19:43, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Bromophenol Blue

Adenosine
I need to talk to somebody knowledgeable about neurochemistry, specifically adenosine, to help me with this theory I have been thinking about. It all started when I was browsing the article talk on the caffeine page. I noticed that many people who said they had ADHD mentioned a sedative or calmative effect of caffeine. I was interested, so I started doing more research into the properties of caffeine and the causes of ADHD to see if there's any connection. Sure enough, I found that there is an explanation of ADHD (known as the low arousal theory) which speculates that people with ADHD live in a state of perpetually low arousal and are thus driven to seek stimuli more strongly than people without the disorder. Caffeine acts as an antagonist to adenosine receptors. Adenosine is a neurotransmitter that inhibits arousal. I found several studies on the effects of caffeine in hyperactive rats that seemed to confirm my suspicions, and although no studies have been performed on humans, it appears that people with ADHD have been dosing themselves with caffeine all along, without necessarily knowing the mechanism of action. So, in your opinion, how important is adenosine to ADHD? How effective is caffeine in treating ADHD? Are there any stronger adenosine receptor antagonists that have been used successfully to treat ADHD?
