Delta-11-tetrahydrocannabinol

- Yes I'm familiar with delta-11-THC [1] it is mentioned in some of the same references that cover the other obscure isomers like delta-4 and delta-7. Didn't bother making a page for it when I did all the others a couple of years back, but it does look to now be on the market so has crossed that threshold of notability. Hi Meodipt. I see that you expanded the abaucin article recently. I wondered why you had added the two compounds in the "See also" section. The connection between the three seems very tenuous to me: the thought that AI was involved in their discovery is mere hype. Medicinal chemists have been using computer programs to aid invention for over 40 years (think Lipinski's rule of five and QSAR). Mike Turnbull (talk) 11:38, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
- Mainly just that all three have been in the news recently as novel antibiotics against these nasty multidrug resistant hospital acquired infections, and people wanting to read about one may be interested in the other two also. Pharmacologically they are all quite distinct of course. Agreed the role of AI has been rather overhyped here, especially as none of them are novel compounds, if anything the AI has just suggested useful new activity for molecules discovered years ago. - Trouble is, that sort of justification can go on forever. SCHEMBL19952957 has four more (different) "See also"s. Personally, I'd rather link QSAR (as Quantitative structure–activity relationships) in the see also but it's no big deal. Let's see if anyone else comments on the Talk Page.
