JN.1 Variant

It has recently popped up, and I am not sure if now would be a good idea to add it, or we wait for a bit of time until it's credible enough to add reliable sources. This has been something new since last year, thanks to the COVID vaccine being efficient in stopping the virus. lmk when this could be added. JN.1 - split off alone or as section of BA.2.86?

Sooner or later it might make sense to either split off JN.1 into its own article, or as a subsection of BA.2.86. After all, it's the overwhelmingly dominant variant in four of the six regions of the world.[1] Boud (talk) 15:01, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
