Zirconium dichloride is an inorganic chemical compound with the chemical formula ZrCl2.[1]
Synthesis
The compound can be formed by heating zirconium in zirconium tetrachloride vapors:[2][3]
- Zr + ZrCl4 → 2ZrCl2
Physical properties
ZrCl2 forms black solid.[2]
