WNBA infobox

Please stop using this infobox when you create new female basketball articles. This infobox is being phased out and Template:infobox basketball biography is now being used (same as the men). I have been trying to convert old articles so this box can be deleted and you keep adding new ones as fast as I can do it. Please see the talk page at Wikiproject Basketball for more details. Thank you. Rikster2 (talk) 02:09, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Note about the BLP unreferenced tag

Please note you ONLY put that if the person is living, I've noticed you put the tag on a few people who are not alive. Wgolf (talk) 01:05, 12 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Also, a reference does not have to be in <ref> tags. A relevant, reliable source in an infobox, such as all of the NFL.com links, are references. They verify the information. By all means stick a {{no footnotes}} tag on it, even a {{BLP sources}} one, but don't put {{BLP unreferenced}} tags on those pages, it's just wrong. Correct format for the "birth date and age" template

Hi. I noticed you've been adding several biographies such as Rosalind Ross. In the infobox you use {{birth date and age}} to specify the birth date. Please note that this:

  • birth_date = {{birth date and age|mf=yes|1980|17|01}}invalid month

is an error. The format is YYYY|MM|DD. So, if the birthdate in this example is January 17, the month and day are transposed. Please correct these, e.g.:

  • birth_date = {{birth date and age|mf=yes|1980|01|17}} (1980-01-17) January 17, 1980 (age 44)

Elizabeth_Williams

I’ve been working on a draft article for Elizabeth Williams:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Sphilbrick/Elizabeth_Williams

My draft is more complete than your article although I had not yet completed the high school and college sections. I also have a photograph of her that I took when I met her in Tampa Bay.

Would you mind if I replaced your draft with mine and then ask you to add your section covering the college aspects into my version?--S Philbrick(Talk) 23:56, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I appreciate that. I moved my draft into the article name and moved yours to:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:User:Robert4565/Elizabeth_Williams_(basketball)

I would be happy to incorporate the text you included for the college years into the article or I can let you do it so you get credit let me know what you prefer.
I see that you’ve been active adding articles for players and the recent draft who did not have articles. I hope you’ll check out Wikipedia:WikiProject_Basketball/Women's_basketball --S Philbrick(Talk) 12:15, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to "Question"

Hi Robert, I don't know for sure what you're getting at with the question you left on my talk page. If I happen to come across an article and notice there is something that needs to be fixed, I fix it. It doesn't matter to me who created the article. I took a quick look at both of our edits over the past while to verify this, and I'm seeing other editors editing the same articles as you do a lot more than I ever did. Since the start of July, I'm not seeing any of your articles that I edited except for the one you thanked me for, but that doesn't even show up because another editor re-directed it. Same for the articles you created in June. It's also quite possible I edited an article you edited without even noticing that you had also edited the article, so I can honestly say no, I'm not looking at every article you created as asked on my talk page. Proposed deletion of Medication event monitoring system

The article Medication event monitoring system has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Insufficient content

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Persondata versus Wikidata

Thanks for creating Stacy Clinesmith. I notice that when you did so you included the {{persondata}} template. I want to let you know that this template is deprecated. I didn't know this or at least not fully understand this until just a couple weeks ago and I was including them in articles I created until a couple weeks ago. In short the preferences to include such data in a Wikidata item. I just created one a few minutes ago and then removed that template. To see the wikidata entry, look on the left side bar and you will see a link to it.

I'm not yet knowledgeable enough about them to walk you through how to create them. User @Dirtlawyer1: has been helping me and if you check out their talk page you'll see a discussion fairly specific about basketball players and coaches.

Thanks for what you are doing, please let me know if I can help with anything.--S Philbrick(Talk) 00:30, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that when you create a new article for a WNBA player you are including the bbr entry in the INFOBOX template but you seem to be using the same one in each case. Six years now! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:23, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, and thanks for dropping by with your question. I checked out the two references in the article and the websites they lead to seem to be rather sensationalist. In particular, one states "The stories on Sword and Scale are solely meant for entertainment purposes and should not be assumed to be fact." This is a bit of a red flag. However, all is not lost: many missing person cases attract the attention of mainstream media organisations, with paid researchers and a commitment to fact-checking. I would start be searching the archives of such news organisations, and referencing them instead of the two private websites used here.

PS: In reality, I did little to research the Jamison family deaths article. Rather, when I came across it, it struck me that the sentence structure and paragraph order could do with some improvement, so I got to work on those.

Hope this helps! —BillC talk 18:06, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Another Demonstration of the Cliff-Guibert Fire Hose Reel, Showing a Young Girl Coming from an Office, Detaching Hose, Running with It 60 Feet, and Playing a Stream, All Inside of 30 Seconds has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This movie doesn't actually exist. It was a hoax made on IMDb in 2003 and only IMDb mirrors and user-generated lists refer to the movie at all. The sole review claiming to have seen the movie on IMDb is obviously sarcastic. Zero sources exist.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Your contributed article, SENX machine

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, SENX machine. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Digital scent technology and Electronic nose and Machine olfaction. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Digital scent technology and Electronic nose and Machine olfaction – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. DrStrauss talk 19:08, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
