Excellent work on the importing :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 09:50, 11 August 2020 (UTC)

Doc James thank you as always...Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 15:31, 11 August 2020 (UTC)

Adjusted a bit here/DDD

[1] :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 00:43, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

Doc James thanks, will write 'grams' and full cite--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:04, 12 August 2020 (UTC)

Adding defined daily dose to the drugbox

I am gradually working on a drugbox update. I have switched the ordering of a few things. I have also added "defined_daily_dose" such as you see at metoprolol. Wondering if you would be interested in adding this to other drugboxes? Once we have Wikidata working here we can than have a bot do an import of this value and the reference to Wikidata.

Have also created a need template to hold the identifiers at the bottom of the page {{Drug resources}}. Have done the move in two articles cephalexin and metoprolol. Plan to move them in all the articles. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 09:10, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

ok, was going to do 'dosages' (as was mentioned yesterday on your talk/page from MSF source), however I can do the DDD move first, Ozzie ….(can do 'identifiers' either before or after aforementioned dosages)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:55, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
I am going to see if I can get a user script to help us with the "identifiers" move. So lets leave that for a bit later :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 10:50, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
By the way in my opinion it would be good to have the defined daily dose both in the infobox and in the body of the text. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 10:52, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
ok will leave text and add to infobox (will leave vaccines out of infobox)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 18:20, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

Another good source for DDD Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 20:25, 26 August 2020 (UTC)

looks better than the other sources (if it has the same info)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 21:29, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
It is interesting. The DDD can be different depending on the route the medication is given. For example here it is for clarithromycin Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 02:29, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
would it be wise to go back and place the DDD (available info from the different sources we have ) for each route of administration?--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 00:57, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
I have done some. Yah a good idea to update eventually and include the route aswell. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 21:09, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
This one was interested for example[2] The WHO is definitely a more comprehensive source Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 21:20, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
going forward will include route of administration(and then go back and add to prior articles), Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 22:55, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
Perfect. I am also going through and updating a bunch :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 03:15, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

The other reference also misses some. Here is fentanyl at WHO

So adjusted to [3] Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 07:14, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

I have finished most of that column :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 13:22, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
ok, that being the case will begin other drugs/procedure per the WHO source (and then go back to 'essential meds' using'll be tedious however IMP source[4] is not complete)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:32, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
By the way when WHO uses Mg they actually mean mg. Mg is used as a different amount by chemists I think. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 14:21, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
lower case letters then, thanks James--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 15:17, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
We must be getting close to finishing the adding of DDDs correct? Just got back from a bike trip and back to work here :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 14:33, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
yes, we're close (wish WHO would have been our first choice)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:37, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Yah apologies about that... Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 14:50, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
it happens...tomorrow it'll be complete,Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:55, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

So when images are just hosted on Wikipedia and not on Commons they will not work here. So what I have been doing is moving the images from EN WP to Commons (when that is possible). Such as here[5]

Takes a bit of time after the move for things to work. Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 17:14, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

[6] thank you James(need to take care of off-wiki matter, will return tomorrow, Tuesday)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 00:28, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
Stay safe :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 16:14, 29 September 2020 (UTC)
thanks...back(while Im going thru SMA let me know if you need me to add info to other articles)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 21:08, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Installing VE

checkYIs going to happen tomorrow 12:00 to 16:00 ET and thus the site will be read only some of that time. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 17:06, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

thanks for heads up! (its Election day/ no results :-( --Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:14, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
Well the senate does not look positive.[7] Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 20:14, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
yes, your right--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 15:07, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

Simplification/word origin

I am think it would be good to switch from using the term "etymology" to "word origin". Thoughts?

We have a lot of headings that use that term

Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 14:34, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

And would fit under the history heading generally as it is the history of the term itself. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 14:35, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
Doc James, going forward will use 'word origin' (as it seems better fit) and seems reasonable to place under History section, Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 17:54, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
I am having Ibrahim look at building a "find and replace" tool to work across all articles in the wiki which would make this change simpler :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:06, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
it would be a good idea, however Ill keep an eye on changing any 'word origin' I come across (BTW good to see Whispyhistory editing)Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 19:23, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

Costs of medications/commons

We now have these[8]

I have added one here Clindamycin#Cost

We also have graphs of the number of prescriptions.

Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 13:48, 1 February 2021 (UTC)

awesome, as soon as I finish w/ Colistin Ill put the graphs in (all)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:56, 1 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for adding all the graphs on prices and number of prescriptions. I have moved them to the section on "society and culture". Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 11:03, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
still have a few to go, I had placed higher on page for more visibility, will move down to 'society and culture' going forward[9]--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:50, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

I reverted this import as it removed a bunch of improvements made here

We just need to be careful about importing pages that are already here. Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 13:50, 26 March 2021 (UTC)

no problem, your right I did make a mistake--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 15:59, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
No worries :-) Though to keep it all straight sometimes... Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 11:58, 27 March 2021 (UTC)

Local images/NCCommons

Hi, I see you're recently active. Could you do me a favour and take a look at File:Severe acne of forehead (DermNet NZ acne-055).jpg?

This is a project to mass upload from DermNet here, rather than Commons due to licensing. It'll effectively be a case book for a NCCommons. I'm no Lua wizard, so we could do with one to fix up the image templates and license that are missing; unless I just go for using plain text rather than templates on these.

Thanks -- (talk) 13:32, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

unfortunately Im not a lua wizard myself, obviously it'd be in our best interest to fix these...RexxS[10](if Im not mistaken does know 'computer/image stuff') is always glad to help--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 19:01, 18 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. It may take a while for this to work out, so the uploads are running without relying on the Information template. If we need to, it can be redone with some local housekeeping as the metadata is all there. For the record a project page is at User:Fæ/DermNet.
Sent Rexx an email, he may enjoy fiddling with the setup, or indeed hopefully find it trivial. -- (talk) 19:20, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

NC Commons

We now have an NC Commons. This is were we plan to store NC and ND licensed images that we use.[11] Please create and account and I will give you editing privileges. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 22:21, 14 March 2021 (UTC)

done[12] (BTW MedScape 10 March 2021 very well done!)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 22:37, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
By the way you can now use images from NC Commons within MDWiki and they will work, just as they would work if from WM Commons. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 22:00, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
James, thank you--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 22:03, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

I have added the ability to include breastfeeding info in the drugbox.

We have this which is an excellent source

The question is can we summarize it down to a couple of works? For some yes.

Like acyclovir "| breastfeeding = Safe"

Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 23:41, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Made that update here[13] Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 23:45, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
this is very useful, will look to add to articles as I edit each(while keeping an eye on cost/prescription graph info I left on your talk), thanks, Ozzie --Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 02:28, 12 April 2021 (UTC)

Adding galleries to the "signs and symptoms" section of skin diseases

We have the excellent collection of NC licensed skin condition images uploaded to NCCommons here.

Would be great to have a gallery of like 3 or 4 of the best images in each skin related article. Thoughts? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 01:18, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

The collection will not be fully present there for a few more days. I think we have about 14K images of which about 6K are there currently. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 01:19, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
Doc James, looks very interesting will look thru them and start late today/early tomorrow,(have copied this over to talk/nccommons) Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 12:51, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
Doc James as indicated below Skin condition#External links will be adding images to articles already here (forking wont let me edit), Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:18, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Mirroring of WP/all articles

Mirroring of WP has launched. We are needing to figure out the forking mechanism to bring over new pages. Thus for now you can only just edit already existing pages. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 09:40, 23 April 2021 (UTC)

Doc James excellent, soon we'll have the rest of the articles here (once we figure out the forking mechanism)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:02, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
Forking mechanism should be in place in a few days :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 11:29, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
Okay so forking is going to take more work than I hoped to get functioning smoothly. What you can do now is create a page in user space, than you can move it into main space, than you can import the history of the page. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 05:59, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Doc James no problem it happens, still have a few articles I can do here(will therefore implement above process sooner than later)...BTW I had a feeling 'forking' was not going to be easy...(on a side note James Ive known you for some time, your always pushing yourself to do more and help more people, remember your human/take things easy you cant be everywhere, BTWwe still made the top 3  :-)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:09, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Yah it is taking a little bit of time getting this wiki going. Thank you for joining me in this. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 13:45, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
always--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 20:13, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

CT images/radiopeadia

With respect to CT imaging, we need to find the image that shows the issue in question. I hope to eventually get built a viewer like here so we can group the whole set together. And maybe add an arrow or two for the non radiologist :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 07:30, 30 April 2021 (UTC)

right many of the images in Mastoiditis or Carotid artery dissection would benefit from an arrow to clarify image(however the gallery at the image batch in question simply labels them [14]hence some are easier to pick than others, as being a better image)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:07, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
Yah we need both an arrow and we need a tool that allows one to view all 150 images in a set. Adjusted to this. Mesenteric_ischemia#Diagnosis Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 13:42, 6 May 2021 (UTC)

Okay tool partly working now... User:Doc James/Test. Still need to think a bit more about how to MESH these into articles though. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 13:06, 10 May 2021 (UTC) this I do want to help place in articles, let me finish a couple of things 'usual edits' and Ill work with this new tool, Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:11, 10 May 2021 (UTC) ( Doc James it seems to work fine Mesenteric ischemia , awesome!)
Hey Ozzie :-) Have moved it to a subpage with a click to link. This will allow people to than see a larger scrollable version. Also this is pushing the underlying software fairly hard. Will need to address some of these performance issues before we can use a lot of these... Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 13:32, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
ok, still its a great idea on your part--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:34, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
I need to get the scroll speed slowed down. Also need a tool that will do the same crop on all images within a set built for NC Commons... We will get there. Just not sure we are ready for widespread roll out yet :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 13:37, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
well, I'll help if you want,Im not great at tech stuff --Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:43, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. Maybe best to work on adding more of the derm images for now. Once we get this a little further along than we can return to add CT scans. I hope to get Fae to put all the images within a CT together as a group using a bot so less work to add when we are ready. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 13:52, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
Yes Fae has been very valuable to our work/articles--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:55, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Thank you

Thanks for the link to aneurysmal cyst images. I tried to reply, but it says my talk page is a redirect???? I thought I might go through all the bone tumors and blood thinners since several sources are the same. And thanks for bringing to attention the top editor list...Hadn't noticed that before either. Whispyhistory (talk) 05:18, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
your very welcome... (yes alot of the technical stuff like 'forking' is still a work in progress Im not surprised you having a 'redirect', Im certain these issues will get fixed in time)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 12:48, 1 May 2021 (UTC) do I add an image from here? eg this looks good. Whispyhistory (talk) 08:59, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
1.login to Oath[15] and 2. enter the name(upper right) of the condition, syndrome, etc (I went ahead and pasted it for you[16], please place the image where it may best help the article), IMO the article is very well done, Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:26, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
Hi ....The skin images look great. How do you upload them from DermnetNZ? Whispyhistory (talk) 11:18, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
actually there all at uploaded them from DermnetNZ), however you can look [17] alphabetically (remember that when you enter a term at here it may initially indicate blank so therefore click link 'everything' for a complete result)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 16:25, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for responding. Will have a look at see if I can understand it. Whispyhistory (talk) 18:24, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

I am looking into a CT scan / MRI scan viewer. For example this CT scan has 136 images in it.[18] Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 10:40, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

looks interesting and needed for our images, when its working, Ill give it a try--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 12:17, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
Doc James thank you, will begin on more videos, Ozzie --Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 12:14, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
Let me know if you run into any more issues with the video tool... Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 17:54, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
Doc James thank you(I do plan to do more)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 17:58, 28 May 2021 (UTC)

We can now import articles right into place... Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 14:21, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

Doc James ok, (forgive my ignorance) so does this have any effect on [[19]], because now I cant move the page...--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 18:56, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
Yah the old mechanism does not work. But once you have directly imported Pyoderma_gangrenosum than you can move an article over it. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 23:04, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
got it, thank you--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 23:08, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
Also make sure to check to see if the article already exists here before importing... Else we lose the updates that were made. Fixed the one :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 11:58, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
Doc James yes your correct thank you, will be addressing an issue today/back tomorrow, Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 15:41, 24 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi .... you seem good with images...very impressed. Can you check Cryptococcosis.... the photomontage in the infobox. I don't know how to get the images the same size. Any other suggestions welcome. Thank you as always. Whispyhistory (talk) 05:41, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

thanks.....what usually happens is we do....
| image_size1a=200px
| image_size1b=270px (bigger if needed)
however it doesnt seem to work on that image as (in theory) since both images are separate you just need to identify the image size for each...will take a look at other image (double box) and see if that article can be adjusted, Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:27, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
Thank you... I have some in my sandbox if you have any suggestions. Whispyhistory (talk) 15:38, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
Template:Photo montage seems to be the template for that image and it doesnt offer the flexibility of image_size1...(as indicated above) it may be worth using a different 'multiple image template'[20]..IMO(not certain why the images dont agree in size for Cryptococcosis)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 21:00, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
Sure..will take a look at these templates. Thank you again for looking. Whispyhistory (talk) 04:11, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

We filled up our current disk space. Have requested more. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 01:07, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Doc James great, that means we are 'creating information',Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 12:40, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
got email, thank you--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 22:37, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Forking button

We have a new forking button under "More". Should make things easier. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 12:04, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

Doc James...yes great idea, (BTW we do not need to continue using Create redirects, Import history once we fork it...)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 16:28, 20 July 2021 (UTC)

Images(Williams syndrome/Trisomy 18)

Not sure why these were removed?[21] Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 08:20, 10 August 2021 (UTC)

You also removed them here?[22] Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 08:23, 10 August 2021 (UTC)

Great images by the way :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 09:21, 10 August 2021 (UTC)

  • Doc James, your right yesterday at the time I removed [23] and [24] they were redlinked, I assumed they had been like this when they were imported (I was wrong, I can see now it seems to have been temporary). I was at both articles adding [25] and [26], thank you--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 12:52, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
    • No worries. Yah we had some technical issues yesterday. Ryan fixed them. If you see broken images ping me and I can look into it. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 03:24, 11 August 2021 (UTC)

  • strange...maybe someone else can help--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:13, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi.... Good work with images. I tried one. Are you able to kindly check I have done it properly (my last edit), before I try any more? Thank you. Whispyhistory (talk) 08:12, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

Whispyhistory, it looks perfect [28] :-) Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:46, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

in that case [29] I always improvise like [30] (and here are a few more on my talk on the other site at the lower half of page list after NIH cc by [31]) , let me know if you need any help/have further questions--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 18:57, 12 September 2021 (UTC)

not necessarily (though I do[32]), it looks fine [33], great addition--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 20:35, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
Thank you... that is useful to know. Whispyhistory (talk) 18:34, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

Cite Q

Not sure when we will have Wikidata working here... Likely best to replace all instances of Cite Q until such time we do... Thought?

Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 23:42, 11 December 2021 (UTC)

agree--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 18:52, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
One can simple bring over the reference in a different format like this though... [35] Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 21:39, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
I have also restored the academic peer reviewed template... [36] Just need to fix it up some more... Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 21:45, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Doc James, (as you indicated) Wikidata isnt working here I assumed it'd be best to simply do away with the academic peer review for each article (5 in total) and delete the five template related pages...--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 21:52, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
That template existed before Wikidata... Have restored the old version. Dengue_fever#References
I propose we keep it. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 21:59, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
agree, keep--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 22:02, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
You will just need to add the individual meta data items... Let me know if you need help with any of this :-) Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 22:23, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
Doc James, thank you--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 22:31, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

<section begin=casesasof />{{As of|2016|5|08}}<section end=casesasof />, the [[World Health Organization]] (WHO) and respective governments reported a total of <section begin=cases />28,646<section end=cases /> suspected cases and <section begin=deaths />11,323<section end=deaths /> deaths<section begin=caserefs /><ref name="08who2016">{{cite report|url=|title=Ebola virus disease|publisher=World Health Organization|access-date=6 June 2019}}</ref><section end=caserefs />

Has these strange "section begin" takes. Wondering what they are for? They do not appear to be working her so removed... Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 20:44, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

If they are important we could look at trying to figure out how to get them to work... Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 20:47, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
Doc James, to be frank (and thats from Western African Ebola virus epidemic) at this point that Ebola episode has long passed, therefore we can workout the text however you believe best (I dont even really remember how those 'section begins' works), Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 20:58, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
Okay :-) I wonder if it has something to do with how people set up blocks of text to share between various pages... By the way I have added et al for a bit to the dyslexia page to see if Thomas can figure out how to get it to work properly. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 21:15, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
Doc James, thanks, Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 21:41, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

Failure of pacemaker capture as a result of flecainide increasing the capture threshold resulting in an idioventricular rhythm of 43 beats per minute

Hey Ozzie This image comes as a pair from my reading. The use of flecainide is not causing the arrhythmia but is being used to improve capture of the pacemaker if one looks at the second image. I wonder if this would be better at the article on pacemakers? [40] Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 14:39, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

James, I was going to argue against it (see my self revert[41]) however upon second thought...ok (BTW I left a message on your talk)--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 23:47, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
Hey Ozzie. Restored the "brown colored macule" and added clarification that it is due to a fungal infection.
Thanks for the details on the rhythm strip. I misread :-) Have restored that aswell just adjusted the caption. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 00:39, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
Placed it back here[42] Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 01:20, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
James you didnt 'misread'... I'm simply lucky to have and learn from an editor and medical professional as you, Ozzie --Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 02:38, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

Interstitial cystitis

Was looking at this and moved the image to the research section... Evidence is insufficient to support its use.[43]

We should pair the primary sources with high quality secondary sources when they are making claims of treatment effectiveness IMO. Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 05:49, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

Doc James, after reviewing a few articles,

  • I found this review,,,Gandhi, Jason; Seyam, Omar; Smith, Noel L.; Joshi, Gunjan; Vatsia, Sohrab; Khan, Sardar Ali (January 2018). Nice thanks :-) Added that review to the research section.[44] Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 15:49, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

You want to help add these to medicine articles? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 15:51, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

Doc James, will take a look tomorrow, thanks,(and will start putting into articles) Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 18:42, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
Actually lets hold off adding more. I want to get the flow through to offline working first and need to solve some formatting issues. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 07:10, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
no problem...this information is very useful , to be frank was not fully aware of how much better an article is after adding , Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:15, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

VideoWiki/rVSV-ZEBOV vaccine

will make it green--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 22:36, 8 February 2022 (UTC)

En.Video-Post-Ebola virus syndrome

So have compiled the video and uploaded it to Commons[46]...

It is not yet possible to use images from NC Commons.[47]

Since that image is CC BY 4.0 would recommend you upload it to Commons and than it will work.

I plan to eventually get the tool using NC and ND images but that will take some months. And that will also only permit the uploading of the final video to NC Commons.

Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 22:48, 8 February 2022 (UTC)

James. will do immediately, thanks, Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 22:51, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
Likes like it might take a bit of time to come over... If it doesnt shortly will need to look into this in more detail. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 23:00, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
ok (BTW I completely changed the image in question [48] and reuploaded [49],,however it still doesnt work here--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 23:18, 8 February 2022 (UTC)

Specific to midazolam

Intranasal midazolam for gagging reflex prevention during dental procedure

Hey Ozzie... This image is a little tangential to the topic in question. Midaz is used for 100s of different procedures. Not sure showing this one adds much? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 12:26, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

  • if one takes a look at the actual reference for the text(below) used it states ...There is some moderate-certainty evidence that oral midazolam is an effective sedative agent for children undergoing dental treatment. There is a need for further well-designed and well-reported clinical trials to evaluate other potential sedation agents. (Cochrane), Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 19:03, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
But that is much better described by text rather than an image... Not sure that the image adds to it. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:41, 17 February 2022 (UTC)

Doc James, thank you, I noticed you changed this[53] from this[54] seems to have been a very good idea, (will hold Video:Influenza A virus as well as the next video) Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:55, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

Other logo

It needs to be a bit more like this one before it can go live. I like the idea though. We could also go with the Ukrainian flag blue. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 11:28, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

Logo (3).png

;User:Doc James like this... (its difficult for me to evenly divide it into two colors like the flag many online converters dont work like that, and my knowledge is rather basic)...--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:54, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

Looks good :-) Can you make the blues and yellows the same as the Ukrainian flag? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 16:55, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

Alternate logo(3).png

User:Doc James , ok the blue is now even...and the yellow on the flag is almost identical to this one...IMO--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 22:10, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

The yellow we are using is #ffff66 well the yellow of the flag is #ffd700. The blue of the flag is #0057b7 Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 00:18, 23 September 2022 (UTC)

NC Commons

Hey Ozzie the connect to NC Commons appears to be down. We just need to get it up again.

The video is here

Am also working to get OWID back working. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 04:50, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
it happens, we'll figure it out, in the meantime I'm trying to find an alternate way to make the videos again via [64]/[65],Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 16:10, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
I think I may have a programmer to get videowiki working again... What is a recent script needing building? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 11:38, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
Doc James, Awesome...well for 'recent script' we have Swine flu and Tick-borne encephalitis, (if all goes well I'll retroactively do videos for several recent articles that could also use a video), thank you Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 14:38, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
Yah here is hoping it does not take too long. Looks like compiling still working, just uploading is broken. By the way have turned off editing by IPs as we have been getting vandalism. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 05:22, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
good idea, almost every day I delete 3/4 IP span, (BTW HAPPPY NEW YEAR!)Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 15:16, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
Doc James per above I've also started Video:Angiostrongyliasis and Video:Staphylococcal infection, Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:45, 2 January 2023 (UTC)

Done see video section for a more complete explanation

Infectious hepatitis

The ref you list says "Hepatitis A (formerly called “infectious hepatitis”)" so added back saying it was "previously". Do you see other concerns? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 19:33, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Doc James, good idea...I did however add a graph to epidemiology [67], thank you, Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 19:46, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Managed to fix here. If you see other broken OWID maps let me know. We have made some changes and they sometimes require updating the code. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 09:09, 6 April 2023 (UTC)

Doc James, should I see other such errors I'll inform you, thanks, Ozzie--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:11, 6 April 2023 (UTC)
