Rollback

Hi, and thanks for your recent edit to Obesity. While your statement was correct, it was redundant--the additional factors section already mentions eating disorders as a cause. Tlesher 03:00, 14 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Discharge Lamp, by Bryson430 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Discharge Lamp fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

Duplicate page with Discharge lamp, which is correctly capitalised

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Discharge Lamp, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 13:51, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

multiple infobox templates

You added an extra "infobox" template to a couple of articles about New Hampshire mountains. I have removed them, because they weren't necessary; one is more than sufficient. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 21:42, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of GreySheeters Anonymous

A tag has been placed on GreySheeters Anonymous, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.  Ravenswing  01:47, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 02:31, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article Nakoma, Madison, Wisconsin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Lacks general notability and is merely one small neighborhood in a metropolitan area. Contains no notable landmarks, historical persons, or other features; ie lack of wikilinks and no pages linking in.

Without this, it does not follow the general urban neighborhood notability precedent across the encyclopedia. No items of note, nor can it assert notability on its own. Moreover, precedent and convention for articles for this city do not include separate articles for neighborhoods.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. daTheisen(talk) 06:40, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying to upload a still from my video, but the interface won't let me. They don't believe I took the photo, because it's a still from my video, I guess. Weird. Aebarschall (talk) 05:43, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the new link
Town of Randolph NH from Dome Rock White Mountain National Forest
Is this better. Unfortunately, the trees have grown up in this more recent photo, so the view isn't as good. The new photo is from 2020, while the older one is from 2008, when cell phones didn't have as good of cameras Aebarschall (talk) 05:48, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Photo of Randolph

I was able to capture an excellent photo of Randolph from one of your videos, however, I cannot upload the photo to Wikipedia because your video is copyright-protected. I am not familiar with Instagram, however, if you are able to indicate on the video that it is without copyright (a "creative commons" license), then I can upload the image. Another option is to upload the video to the Commons. Magnolia677 (talk) 10:54, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I did manage to create a screen shot at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Aebarschall?markasread=259818929&markasreadwiki=enwiki#/media/File:Randolph_NH_from_Dome_Rock.png Does that work? Aebarschall (talk) 15:54, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It is, unfortunately, in some respects, not as good a photo, as trees have grown up blocking more of the view. Aebarschall (talk) 15:54, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You want me to upload the entire video? Sorry to be piecemeal about this. Confusing. Aebarschall (talk) 15:55, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia apparently does not allow uploading videos, or maybe I have the wrong format. I uploaded one to YouTube with a commons attribution license https://youtube.com/shorts/FPuWIc3tvyo Aebarschall (talk) 16:13, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I can't find the license information on the photo. It was uploaded as a "short", which does not give license info. Magnolia677 (talk) 08:28, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please tell me how to fix Aebarschall (talk) 16:04, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Are we talking about the photo, or about the YouTube video? The YouTube video license is on YouTube. I’m not sure how to change the Wikipedia license Aebarschall (talk) 13:32, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm trying to add a high-quality photo to the Commons, which I was able to "capture" from your YouTube video. Unfortunately, I'm not able to located the licensing information on the YouTube video (it's usually posted below the video). The video seems to have been uploaded as a "short", which may be the reason. Magnolia677 (talk) 15:10, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please tell me how to fix. Aebarschall (talk) 16:04, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not familiar with YouTube. Do you have a Flickr account? That's a great place to upload files. Magnolia677 (talk) 16:29, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's annoying that YouTube doesn't show the license on shorts, but I also uploaded a still. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Aebarschall?markasread=259818929&markasreadwiki=enwiki#/media/File:Randolph_NH_from_Dome_Rock.png Can you use that? Aebarschall (talk) 21:15, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's shown above. Unfortunately, the link to the photo just appears to be to this whole dialog. Frustrating. Aebarschall (talk) 21:16, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe this link works better https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Randolph_NH_from_Dome_Rock.png So confusing. Aebarschall (talk) 21:17, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good. May I trim the border? Magnolia677 (talk) 21:29, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
yes Aebarschall (talk) 21:59, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
