Turivar (Persian: توريور), also Romanized as Tūrīvar, Tāvarīvar, Tavrīvar, and Tooryour,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Zhavarud-e Sharqi Rural District of Sirvan District, Sanandaj County, Kurdistan province, Iran.[4] The village is populated by Kurds.[5]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 767 in 206 households, when it was in the Central District.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 630 people in 215 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 671 people in 239 households,[2] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of the new Sirvan District.[4]
