Talk:Writer's cramp

Definition

This article seems to be describing Writer's Cramp as two different things: (1) The temporary affliction of the muscles in the hand caused by extensive use, and (2) The chronic condition affecting motor control of the hand, caused by the chemical deficiency in the basal ganglia (dystonia).

This should be clarified and expanded upon. If Writer's Cramp refers to both in different contexts, this should be mentioned. I will spearhead this effort if no one else does, but I don't have an MD or DO and feel unqualified to rewrite this article without extensive research 64.221.248.17 17:30, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't there a form of writer's cramp caused by hypermobility in the finger joints? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.235.82.48 (talk) 17:55, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
