Revise, respecting MAI are two species

The community, including the page's first reference, have reached consensus that MAI is really two species-- avium and intracellulare. Therefore content such as "It is a saprotrophic organism..." is inappropriate. This page might best be renamed MAC - mycobacterium avium complex-- infection. MAC is more commonly used than MAI. New to Wiki: This is to call attention to a citational error: Baker was not a co-author of the original Lady Windermere syndrome (LWS)paper. Reich and Johnson were the sole authors. Reich JM, Johnson RE. Mycobacterium avium-intracellulare disease presenting as an isolated middle lobe or lingular pattern: Lady Windermere syndrome. Chest 1992;101:1605-09.

As the author of a recent editorial addressing the pathogenesis of LWS, I may be expressing a personal bias. The author may wish to review the paper and incorporate whatever he views as salient.I can furnish a copy of the paper if desired: Reich JM. Less well known in the pediatric literature on MAC is primary pulmonary disease attributable, presumably, to massive inoculation in an immunologically naive host: Reich JM. We should likely have one article about the disease and one about the bacterium itself. The infection material should be in that article and therefore moved it.
