Career addition
Anderson oversaw the creation and installation of the public art display at Dykshoorn park in downtown Mandan, ND, entitled “North Dakota Music Lane” which showcases four North Dakota Music Hall of Fame inductees including Lawrence Welk,Bobby Vee, Peggy Lee and Lynn Anderson.

Career addition: Talking Trail
Anderson helped initiate the Talking Trail, a self-guided tour that uses audio or visual to tell the story of its notable historic points of interest. (https://www.talkingtrail.com/)
The initial points of interest were along the Old Red/Old Ten Scenic Byway between Mandan and Dickinson North Dakota. Visitors were directed to call the phone number and extensions listed on signs marking historical sites located along this 108-mile road, known since 2008 as the 10th Federal Highway Administration Scenic Byway in North Dakota. Sites include statues in Mandan of Peter Toth, honoring Native Americans and Theodore Roosevelt all the way to the old Fort Keogh Trail, which was once crossed by Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer in 1870 when he marched the Seventh Cavalry to Montana.
In 2016 Anderson partnered with Shawn Brannan. Brannan took over Talking Trail in 2018. According to Brannan, over 500 points of interest can now be explored in five states including Colorado, Montana, Minnesota, and North and South Dakota. (https://www.talkingtrail.com/news)

Career update: World’s longest dances
As former chairperson of the Mandan Independence Day Parade for nearly 30 years, Anderson has been credited for World's Longest Chicken Dance in 2010, World’s Longest “Twist” Dance in 2011, World’s Longest Y.M.C.A. Dance in 2012, and was a finalist in the Rand McNally Most Patriotic City competition that same year.
