This page is great

This page is great, but does anybody else think that the herbs and spices should not be on here? 74.78.98.109 (talk) 11:35, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are Carotenoids considered vitamins? I thought they were classified as phytochemicals. .

I removed the (potentially dangerous 'IU=mcg' on vitamins D and E. An IU is not a microgram! 74.78.98.109 (talk) 11:39, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Whoever started this article and has been working on it, I'd really think about the direction you're taking with this - this article is definitely very useful, and the portions that remain aren't at all redundant. I think the first step would be to divvy up the the minerals into microminerals (that is, trace minerals) and macrominerals (calcium, magnesium). Hmm. I'll do that now. 74.78.98.109 (talk) 12:09, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, does anybody know if macrominerals are considered micronutrients? It seems to me that they would be. 74.78.98.109 (talk) 12:10, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to say that there are a lot of medications and herbs on here that were only discovered recently or grow only in one part of the world. This does not meet the definiton of microneutrient, or something that the human body NEEDS in small doses to survive. I am pretty sure that our ancestors in africa did just fine without psuedafed and phenibut --128.36.165.248 (talk) 19:48, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am no Dr. Is it true that Micro nutrients can reverse diabetes and cancer? Bob 5/12/13 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.140.31.218 (talk) 23:26, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Micronutrients are not just a human concern, but also affect other animals and plants. Article needs restructuring and rethinking IMHO. StormyJerry (talk) 13:03, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
