Relationship With The Article "2020 coronavirus pandemic in Europe"

The article 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic In Europe seems to have plenty of useful data. This article having the data from it that pertains to the EU would be an improvement. 68.96.208.77 (talk) 19:27, 14 April 2020 (UTC) Constructive Feedback[reply]

Oddly it's been scrubbed on the same day that the BBC runs a story about the US death toll exceeding 41,000. Wouldn't it be useful to see how the EU is doing in comparison? 122.56.196.182 (talk)

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of 2020 coronavirus pandemic in the European Union's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 07:47, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

COVID-19 Cases In Europe Chart

The chart showing COVID-19 cases in Europe is misleading because it implies a greater number of cases in the EU than exist as the data includes countries not in the EU such as Russia and Turkey. 68.96.208.77 (talk) 15:31, 15 April 2020 (UTC) Constructive Feedback[reply]

Just checked, and you're quite right. I've removed the chart. Capewearer (talk) 15:35, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! 68.96.208.77 (talk) 20:37, 15 April 2020 (UTC) Constructive Feedback[reply]
Removing is easy, but it is not a "One fits all" solution. Appropriate information should be given.
For instance giving the number of EU cases and EU fatalities and comparing it to the ones of Europe, to explicit the difference.

Scope clarification

Right now, the article seems to be mostly about the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on European Union institutions. Therefore, I'm proposing a rescoping and move to Impact of the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic on the European Union, in line with similar articles. I would argue that the current article scope is duplicative of 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Europe, but an article on the policial and institutional impacts of the pandemic is certainly reasonable and meets WP:GNG. buidhe 23:14, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This would make a longer title! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.136.155.241 (talkcontribs)
Why have you scrubbed the number of EU cases and EU deaths? What's your agenda? 115.189.95.17 (talk)
Article is not exactly duplicative because ECDC statistics were removed for both:
  • Removed from the Europe article, because they deal with the EU rather than with Europe
  • Removed from the EU article, because they deal with Europe rather than the EU — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.136.155.159 (talk) 09:24, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Another change which shows the scope clarification is needed: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=European_Union_response_to_the_COVID-19_pandemic&diff=967639005&oldid=967636041 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.136.155.117 (talk) 19:11, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose merge: And in all events until the controversy has matured and stabilised. Djm-leighpark (talk) 22:13, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • Djm-leighpark, do you think that a separate article is definitely better, or do you think that it's too early to know whether this should be a separate article? WhatamIdoing (talk) 22:26, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I don't have the WP:CRYSTAL for this and it may be that it dies down quickly or it may be it has longer ramifications. The risk is it become WP:UNDUE in the parent article. Thankyou. Djm-leighpark (talk) 22:37, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose merge, though it may be appropriate to merge the COVID vaccine dispute article into an article on vaccine nationalism at some time in the future. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:17, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose merge: this donnybrook not only involves the foreign and trade relations of the EU, but it also impacts the NI Protocol.
  • Oppose merge: For the reasons stated by Djm-leighpark and Cwmhiraeth. ACLNM (talk) 01:24, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose merge: Per all the above, and this has nothing to do with the EU response. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnotherEditor144 (talkcontribs) 17:48, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose merge: As per above, could have wider global implications, so plenty of scope. Eastfarthingan (talk) 09:45, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can a person with EU passport get covid-19 vaccination in another EU country without a local social security number?

For example, can one get vaccinated with a Finnish passport in other EU countries, without the vaccinator checking does one actually live in that other country?
