Expanding on this Article
Hi, I would like to first commend whoever is/was working on this article -- I think it is a very worthwhile subject to write on. I am thinking on expanding the topic by writing in an introduction as well as introducing more studies that would get into the sociological causes behind domestic violence in China. I would also like to explore how domestic violence is portrayed in the media, as well as how it is perceived as an in society. - Great work on your initial contribution to this article! The article provides a comprehensive description of the history of domestic violence in China and great statistical account of the problem for the relevant demographics. I think the page will benefit most from continuing to add new topic sections, specifically a section that describes the types of domestic violence prevalent in China (e.g., physical, psychological, and/or economic), as well as one that covers legal aspects of the issue (e.g., first law against domestic violence went into effect March 1, 2016). On a less substantive note, I recommend using the named reference feature to ensure your repeated citations include all of the source information. Additionally, in order to follow the MoS, only the first word in the headings should be capitalized. Finally, the addition of WikiLinks to outside articles where relevant will be helpful to readers. For example, you might consider linking “female on male violence” to “domestic violence against men.” Medleya (talk) 23:32, 15 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi Patrick, Great job so far on your Wikipedia contribution. You added a very comprehensive overview of the history of domestic violence in the country and a lot of statistical information about the phenomenon. I do have a few suggestions for changes. First, I think it would be valuable to write or ask for a section on the current legal landscape for domestic violence law in the country as well as one on the resources available to victims of violence. Next, I think more timely citations would add credibility to your arguments. Lastly, I think your article could benefit from the addition multimedia and more links to the topic on other pages with related subject matters.Slklose (talk) 06:12, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
