Note from a human: Some five years later, I discovered the above attempt by the bot to fix a dead link was unsuccessful. I searched various archives, and best as I can tell, none of them archived the subject citation. It seems for a while, the publisher made Hollanders article openly available, but eventually put it behind a paywall. The way this was done was complicated enough to confuse the bot to link to a useless page. So, I deleted the archive link. I also deleted the original link in order to keep the bot from doing the same thing again. Anyone who wants to access it through the paywall can still get there by clicking on the doi or PMID numbers. Condensinguponitself (talk) 16:42, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I am also a student editor from the University of Cincinnati. I really like the overall layout and outline of the topic but I just wanted to make a few recommendations regarding the entry: 1.) Would consider using a different image than the one currently. It would be nice to have an image of the inside of a textile mill for example rather an open field with cotton. 2.) Would consider adding a section discussing if there is any evidence of sensitization in the development of the disease and what sets it apart from other forms of occupational lung diseaseAkrainev (talk) 00:15, 18 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]


Thank you for your recommendations! I agree about finding an image of textile mill, specifically one from a low and middle income country (LMIC). I have found some information on what sets byssinosis apart from other occupational lung diseases such as occupational asthma-- that information is still in my sandbox. Thanks again--very helpful!
