Talk:Afghans in Germany

In the current state, the article may as well be deleted due to lacking verifiable facts. For starters, the population is estimated at 350,000; in the text, it is estimated to be 150,000. So which one is it? Other sources claim 250,000 after the migrations in 2015, so that may be a better estimate, but it can't be both 150,000 and 350,000... The whole second and third paragraph lack citation and, quite frankly, make little sense; how does the demography of Afghanistan tell us the political diversity of the community in Germany? How would the NATO involvement impact feelings of Afghans? What does "few" representatives mean - for a community that, before 2015, was estimated somewhere between 50,000 and 150,000, are half a Dozen organisations few or many? And why is a - grammatically incorrect and confusing - sentence about child marriages, in the almost non-existant number of 157, important enough to be at the top of the article? Further down: What is a "second collective deportation?" It is not referred to in the cited article, and the local is not the beste source on Germany. Without numbers, the sentence about the religious composition of the diaspora is nonsensical. Why is the only notable Afghan mentioned a refugee who lived in Germany for about a year and commited a heinous crime? What is his significance for the Afghan-German diaspora? Was he involved in it (no, he wasnt living there long enough)? Was he representative for it (since its only one person named, unlikely)? Why is he more important than major diplomats, academics, artists and professional footballers? 137.248.1.31 (talk) 15:53, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
