Can you stop reversing my edits to the Pensacola State College page? I am getting the requests from the marketing department. Thank you in advance. PensacolaStateCollege (talk) 21:23, 15 February 2023 (UTC)

That is a problem. Wikipedia aims to include only knowledge that is verifiable and notable.
  • It relies on reliable sources to verify things. Your username suggests a conflict of interest, and is against policy as it implies a shared use rather than an individual editor's account. That you edit on request from a marketing department indicates that the edits may be biased (or will be biased, if the marketing department is doing their job).
  • Notability relies on secondary sources, sources removed from the subject of the article. Primary sources can sometimes be relied upon for factual knowledge, but only a reliable secondary source can verify that it is notable to an audience outside the subject of the article. With school articles, it is a mistake to edit thinking that it is "the school's web page on Wikipedia". It is not. It is an article in an encyclopedia that aims to reflect the value of verity and notability. signed, Willondon (talk) 22:17, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
Also, your edits have changed data without revising the source. This goes to verifiability. A reader should be able to trace the knowledge back to a source that leaves them confident that the knowledge is true. Some of your edits have no source given, and some of them change data provided by a source, such that a reader would follow that source and find that it does not say what you've changed the article to say. signed, Willondon (talk) 22:21, 15 February 2023 (UTC)

April 2023

Information icon I noticed that a message you recently left to Raymond telles may have been unduly harsh. Please remember not to bite the newcomers. If you see others making a common mistake, consider politely pointing out what they did wrong and showing them how to correct it. It takes more time, but it helps us retain new editors. 4 edits, 2 warnings and reporting at AIV? Seems somewhat harsh. Dorsetonian (talk) 19:36, 11 April 2023 (UTC)

I'm not sure if you saw the talk page after I added a link to a "co-vandal". Another user created an account today and vandalized the James Baker article three times. Then, fifteen minutes later, the Raymond telles account was created, and proceeded to vandalze the James Baker article three more times. More recentely today, Rt vandalized an article at 19:11, and "co-vandal" user Adipguivghiuadhviuhauiv59420 vandalized the Noah article twice, at 19:23 and 19:25. If they are not the same person, it seems most probable that they are acting in concert to vandalize. There were no constructive edits from either account. This may be why it seems to you that the response was overly harsh. I was responding as if the two accounts were jointly liable as it were. I appreciate the concern, and will use your message as a memory-jog to keep the no-newbie-biting guidance in mind. (I'm actually pretty cautious about not immediately assuming vandalism, and giving the benefit of the doubt where possible.) signed, Willondon (talk) 19:42, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for engaging! I did only see the edits of Rt although for me, I see enough difference in their behaviours to question whether they are related - A59420 was clearly out-and-out vandalising whereas Rt was being far more subtle - either sneakily adding inaccuracies or even making a poor job of well-meaning corrections; A59420 provided edit summaries whereas Rt did not. Perhaps I am being too generous to them, and in any case we as regular editors can only raise our concerns - you raised yours and an admin reviewed them and blocked, so they must have agreed with you. Ridgeland, South Carolina

Why do you people edit or delete every little fricken thing in here. I've been contributing for 15 years and someone will change things in here. I do not put false information in here and I'm tired of being called a vandal when I dont agree. WBUG radio was in fact a real radio station in South Carolina. I know because I worked there!! Granted, those call letters now belong to a station in New York. There's no reason to delete the whole sentence. It is not the wrong information as you have stated!! I'm done with you people!! And I'm no longer going to donate to your annual drive. Wllmlos (talk) 05:09, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

I assume you refer to my edit here [1] with edit summary: "there does not seem to be consensus for this inadequately sourced content". You have been opposed by a number of editors, so I'd like to clear the record as to what I am responsible for distinguished from you people: I never called you a vandal. I never said that the information was wrong. It seems the main complaint overall is that it is unsourced.
You feel frustrated because for those who have personal knowledge, it seems ridiculous that simple and obvious facts would be rejected by Wikipedia. But a cornerstone of Wikipedia is the citing of reliable sources. A reader should be able to trace a statement to a source that leaves them confident that the knowledge is true. It's not that Wikipedia thinks you are wrong, it's just that you have to help Wikipedia vouch for your edit. signed, Willondon (talk) 12:01, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
You are right. I've had my hand slapped a few times because I didn't provide a reliable source. I promise to do better because I love Wikipedia. (by the way..do refer to WNFO in Hilton Head) Wllmlos (talk) 18:11, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

mental brain damage

get help 2603:9001:6303:F5D5:9E0:74EC:F672:AF73 (talk) 21:57, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

Oh, I'm already on it! "Brain Damage" is one of my favourite Pink Floyd pieces to play on the piano. Not sure why you said "mental brain damage". Seems a bit redundant. I couldn't find specifically what you might be referring to, re my Wikipedia edits, so I guess I'll just welcome your post as a fellow sufferer. But I don't use Wikipedia as a social outlet, so I'll just wish you best along your journey, too. See you on the dark side of the moon. Cheers. signed, Willondon (talk) 01:06, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
PSA: IP user "AF73" and I are both testaments that mental health or brain damage need not prevent one from engaging in a fulfilled life. But it can pose challenges that may be overcome with help. Keep an eye out for "hotline" phone numbers that offer free help anonymously. Even if you don't think they're designed to help you, make the call. There will be someone to talk to, and if they can't offer the help you need, they are likely to be able to refer you to someone else who can help. Every person's case is unique, but shame sometimes shies the sufferer from seeing the shared connections with many others similarly situated. Take it from IP-AF73 and me: there's nothing shameful about mental brain damage, and there is help available. Reach out. Cheers. signed, Willondon (talk) 02:15, 17 April 2023 (UTC)

I like your User page.

Just thought I’d let you know. I enjoyed reading it. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 23:32, 16 April 2023 (UTC)

Well, thank you very much. And to think that it all started because I was irritated with my username showing up in red all over the place. Cheers. signed, Willondon (talk) 23:37, 16 April 2023 (UTC)

Ethnicity revert

Hi there. I have no issues with you performing this revert, but I just wanted to let you know why I did it. The edit was made by an LTA and serial block evader User:Dealer07 who is obsesses with altering people's nationalities, especially singers, to fit their view of the world. They've block evaded and sockpuppeted so much they're effectively community banned and are block and revert on sight. However if you think something is valid, feel free to reinstate it. Canterbury Tail talk 00:23, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

I see. That's a bit of a dilemma: not wanting to reject improvements, but not wanting to seem to condone destructive behaviour. As I was innocent of the editor's nefarious reputation, my revert came from a genuine judgement that it was indeed an improvement. What I'm going to do is leave that short description alone, even if you want to switch it back, or if some other editor comes by later and decides on something else. It could stand as a short description without mentioning either birth year or ethnicity/origin. Anyway, I appreciate the explanation. signed, Willondon (talk) 01:09, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

Guess who is a virgin? You!

[possibly toxic link deleted by Willondon] <--- Don't click this link unless you wanna give yourself a fright. Doubt you've ever seen this in your life. Gregdochertylover (talk) 00:24, 22 April 2023 (UTC)

I already answered you on your talk page at April 2023 (I linked to the section, but my apologies if ClueBot NG adds another one with the same name in the meantime). I wouldn't waste too much time chasing your curiosity about my virginity all over the place, because I consider that none of your business. But if you must, I prefer to discuss it on your talk page. Really, best of luck to you. signed, Willondon (talk) 00:33, 22 April 2023 (UTC)

at the Wind wolves Preserve, on their trail guides it says to watch out for rattlesnakes. I've been there to the preserve myself and I did see a rattlesnake. It's not unsourced, I just don't know how to put a reference on the thing. The Capitalist forever (talk) 22:46, 24 April 2023 (UTC)

It's all explained at Wikipedia:Citing sources. signed, Willondon (talk) 00:20, 25 April 2023 (UTC)

Brenda schad

The things that I added to Brenda schad about her birthday and the place she was born are true and has been confirmed and also the Runway shows, photographers, campaigns and covers are true and are confirmed by pictures and videos and aswell as the acting jobs has done, and her website which is true and the where is studied is true because it is confirmed by her. so how dare you get ride of it and do you not know how long to check and fact it,so put everything I wrote and check back in her wiki profile, someone who is big fan of her and YOU change it,You have the audacity to do that. 95.149.33.178 (talk) 19:04, 27 April 2023 (UTC)

Are you sure you've got the right person here? On the Brenda Schad article, my last two edits were:
  • January 21, 2023 [2]; edit summary: "remove name of non notable children", and
  • April 26, 2023 [3]; edit summary: "remove overlinking, common places and languages: American, US, New York, Tokyo, English, French, Italian, Japanese, license"
It's enough for me that you probably feel like a fool now. No need to apologize. signed, Willondon (talk) 19:15, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
actually the IP sounds like a WP:HOUND to me -- Wesoree (talk·contribs) 19:46, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
