My Rfa

Thanks for voting in my Rfa, which I withdrew from yesterday. Though I did not get promoted, I see this Rfa as being a success nonetheless. What I got out of this Rfa will help me to be a better, all around editor. Because of this Rfa I have decided to become better in other areas of editing. I'm not going to just be a vandalfighter. Click "show" to see my message. What is meant to be and what is not... Thank you for your recent comments and vote at my Request for Adminship. It was not successful. I don't believe this is unfortunate as it leaves me with much to ponder and a fresh slate from which I can better myself as an editor in order to be more compliant with the policies that are expected by Wikipedia. If you feel that there is anything that was not covered by the RfA that I need improvement in, I would implore your input and feedback as I hope and intend to improve as best I'm guided. I've noticed your user talk problems...

And I'd like to suggest a quick fix. Why not just take the ending bits out? i.e. all </div>, </span>, </anything>'s you've got at the bottom? Then the template will carry on indefinitely even when people add new comments. Although that purple bit may be a problem, I don't know. • Good idea, thanks! Normally not closing HTML tags can cause a code break, meaning that nothing at all will get rendered . But looks like simply leaving them open works just fine. The purple thingy: Well, i like it, but this moving around isn't exactly the most interesting activity to do as it got rather tiresome by now. Hi! I deleted the image and posted to the user's talk page. I then noticed from my watchlist that you subsequently posted a reply to the user's userpage at User:Beachpenguin. WP:SCUBA Newsletter Issue #1

Welcome Since this is the first issue of the WP:SCUBA Newsletter, I wanted to take a moment to welcome you as a charter member. We are starting a project with the goal of organizing an enormous amount of information, but as participation in WP:SCUBA expands, so will our editing power through collaboration. Please feel free to invite other interested Wikipedians to join our project.

Categorization of WP:SCUBA Articles I believe that we need to adopt a categorization system to begin organizing these articles. Some categories exist, such as Category:Diving equipment, and can be utilized. The end goal should be to have a set of general categories (less than ten I would hope) that can be used to categorize ALL articles that fall under the scope of this project. Subcategories can then be utilized where needed. This will also help us identify where work needs to be done to further the WikiProject as a whole. Please post comments at the bottom of this page and let me know what you think.

Article Rating for WP:SCUBA As you are hopefully aware, we place the {{WPSCUBA}} template on the talk page of any article that falls within the scope of WP:SCUBA. It is a standard practice to use the Project Template to rate articles as stub, start, B, GA, A, etc. I invite you to research what is involved in setting up a rating and reporting system for WP:SCUBA as we currently do not rate our articles. This will help us identify the most important articles to our cause, and easily see which articles need the most work. Please feel free to post any questions on my talk page.

YMCA SCUBA It has been my personal goal to start creating articles to cover all of the major scuba diver certification agencies, and categorize them as Category:Diver training agency. On the List of diver training organizations YMCA SCUBA links to YMCA (diving organization), which then redirects to YMCA. The problem is that the YMCA article doesn't discuss their recreational diving program anywhere. I would like to start a separate YMCA Scuba article using the information on their Official Site, and fix the redirect at YMCA (diving organization) to point to the new article. I invite you to post your thoughts and opinions on these actions on my talk page.

Speedy deletion of Bliss-stick

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. French sculptors

I think that "has a work that is exhibited at the Louvre" is an assertion of notability. Please be a bit more careful with speedy deletion nominations for articles on older topics like dead artists; even if the article doesn't look perfect from the start, they are more likely to be encyclopedic than articles on living garage bands. You can take a look at the markup around my pages, other than that I'm not too sure. Really it's just experience from copying other people's template designs - just remember that attribution is required. Cheers, Pumpmeup 08:31, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
