October 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Deaths in 2007, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. Pumpmeup 03:13, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

There is a reliable source cited. The reference states "A federal prosecutor accused of flying to Detroit last month to have sex with a 5-year-old girl committed suicide Friday in his cell in a Milan federal prison." Does that not equate with "alleged pedophile"? WWGB 03:20, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
I mean I have no doubt that the offender in question is, but I believe a cite is in order (see Pedophilia) as you can't diagnose someone's thoughts and desires by what they were convicted of. I agree with you, but it will be challenged especially in such a prominent article. But then again, if you want to, go back and put it in - just my opinion. Sorry about the warning, I was just on RC patrol and didn't realize :) Pumpmeup 03:23, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Sorry

Still learning how to properly leave messages on peoples talk pages. I'm pretty new here. Cncamp 05:52, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

I tried to revert the vandalism as soon as I saw it. Sorry it happened. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cncamp (talkcontribs) 05:50, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Peru Surfing

Hi, I've added a number of sources since you last commented on "Who Invented Surfing" I'd appreciate your looking at the new documents especially #4. Also, Henning has written a lot about surfing including one book about Polynesia...his reseach indicates Peru as the origin and is generally accepted in the most of "Knowledgable" surfing community. The authors and their credentials of Document 4 are a sign of this acceptance. Surfmac2004 21:15, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Commons!

James D Nicholl

There has been no vandalism by me of that article - every edit has been clearly justified in the edit notes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.69.137.7 (talk) 01:14, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Please refrain from making duplicate votes to RfA pages, such as you did to Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Dppowell. Your most recent vote has been removed. I don't believe it was intentional, but please keep this in mind in the future. Thanks, Ksy92003(talk) 05:11, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

It's okay. Usually, in these situations, it's accidental. If somebody were to purposely vote twice, then that'd be the worst sockpuppeter in the whole universe. I knew that there was a duplicate vote because of User:Tangotango/RfA Analysis/Report and Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard/RfA Report‎. The first edits every hour on the half hour, while the second edits every hour on the hour. They both tell you when there are duplicate votes in RfAs. To add either to your user page if you want to, add {{User:Tangotango/RfA Analysis/Report}} or {{Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard/RfA Report‎}} and it will appear. I see you already have User:Tangotango/RfA Analysis/Report on your user page, so no need to worry about that. Happy editing, Ksy92003(talk) 07:30, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Biting

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Age_of_majority&action=history
Your comment: (rv rv - why was that? Informal, sure, but useul/ Don't bite, please)

Have a look at the users talk page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Sbones22 I just noticed that the edit was just one line, but i thought that multiple lines were edited. Thats what caused the revert instead of simply correcting myself. I certainly didn't want to bite him though! :) --Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 09:50, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

I noticed the Special:Allpages is EXTREMELY long and causes my browser to become unresponsive. —Preceding unsigned comment added by KevinTraver (talkcontribs) 19:56, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
