While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). Italian constituencies

Very nice job with the Italian constituencies! Is there anything missing, something one could do to help? --Yakme (talk) 10:44, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Yakme: Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! Now I'm trying to complete the Chamber's constituencies with 2018 election's seats, then I'll have to update the changes which occurred during these 4 years. Anyway, we should do the same for the Senate and for elections from 1994 till 2013 (it'll be a huge job...). Help is always welcome, of course :) -- Nick.mon (talk) 13:21, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, let's try to work on Abruzzo (Chamber of Deputies constituency) as an example to set the standard for the rest of the constituencies. I have done already something, but we can discuss. --Yakme (talk) 17:44, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Yakme: It looks fine to me! I've changed something, let me know if you think they are good improvements. -- Nick.mon (talk) 21:54, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would have two slightly different structures for the single and multi member districts. For the multi-member districts I would have the parties first and then the elected deputies, because those are chosen based on the votes given to the parties (not like the FPTP candidates who are directly elected). In case of resignation/death of a multi-member deputy, the seat is kept to that party and is automatically passed onto the next candidate in the party lists. --Yakme (talk) 22:51, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Yakme: Ok, I agree. But, how can we represent a change of the parliamentary group? -- Nick.mon (talk) 22:55, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to collaborate, but this reversion of all the work I have done to improve the page is not really showing a good will. It took quite some time to gather the sources that you removed, and fill the tables with the up-to-date group memberships etc. --Yakme (talk) 13:34, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Yakme: Ok, excuse me, but your version was a bit confusing to me. I've a few doubts on writing the parties within the centre-right and centre-left coalitions, it could be quite difficult with larger coalitions like The Olive Tree or Pole of Freedoms, if we decide to use the same table for all the legislatures with FPTP seats. Anyway, I'll restore the sources of the second table. -- Nick.mon (talk) 14:23, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nick.mon. Just wanted to remind you that it is not really a good practice to copy content from other pages in WP without declaring it and signalling the proper attribution. You have done this again unfortunately here and in other edits on the same article by copying from Next Italian general election to 2022 Italian presidential election. Solution: Just adding a simple edit message like I did now in here should suffice. On a side note, but this is just my opinion, I really think that copying a bunch of text from an article to another should be in general avoided. We should try to limit the repetitions among different articles to a minimum, and only when really necessary. I don't think that the historical background summary of the 2022 presidential election has to be exactly the same as the one for the next general election. Would you consider becoming a New Page Reviewer?

Chart of the New Pages Patrol backlog for the past 6 months. (Purge)

Hi Nick.mon,

I've recently been looking for editors to invite to join the new page reviewing team. Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; the new page reviewing team needs help from experienced users.

Would you please consider becoming a New Page Reviewer? Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision (if it looks daunting, don't worry, most pages are easy to review, and habits are quick to develop). If this looks like something that you can do, please consider joining us. If you choose to apply, you can drop an application over at WP:PERM/NPR. If you have questions, please feel free to drop a message on my talk page or at the reviewer's discussion board.

Cheers, and hope to see you around, (t · c) buidhe 17:37, 10 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:EuroLeague Turkish Airlines logo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free former logo being used in a WP:DECORATIVE manner a gallery of former logos in EuroLeague#Logos which fails WP:NFCC#8 and WP:NFG. Non-free former logos can be used as long as their use complies with WP:NFC#cite_note-4 and this almost always means the logo itself about the logo and the associated change in brandling that led to its replacement is the subject of sourced critical commentary. Simply adding the logo to "show" what it looks like is not considered sufficient to satisfy WP:NFC#CS, except in cases where the logo is being used for primary identification purposes at the top of or in the main infobox of an article about the organization the logo represents.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:33, 4 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, it would be great, if you could add sources to preferably any wiki-article you are edit. On the articles of Jordan Mickey and Ismaël Bako you added the informations about the new club, thank you. But it's important to justify any change on wikipedia. Copying within Wikipedia

Hi Nick! I am really sorry to bother again with this, but especially recently with the Draghi government crisis, you have been copying content around Wikipedia without giving proper attribution (see Mario Draghi, 2022 Italian government crisis, Sergio Mattarella, and so on). It's not forbidden to copy paragraphs around, although I would not recommend it, because if one later improves on the original paragraph, then how can editors remember to make the same improvement(s) to all other articles where that paragraph has been copy-pasted? Anyway, if you really want to copy-paste stuff around, at least you need to write a short sentence in the edit comment (by the way, I suggest you to always write something in the edit comment), as explained in WP:COPYWITHIN. Cheers, Yakme (talk) 08:30, 15 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Yakme, I'm sorry but maybe I didn't understand what copying is. I mean, I don't copy the exact paragraph from an article to another one. I always try to change the text, adding maybe a couple of sentences more specific for that article. Of course, the main topic of the section is the same, but usually I don't write literally the same sentences. That's why I thought it wasn't necessary to write something in the edit comment. Anyway, you're right, I'll try to do it. -- Nick.mon (talk) 08:38, 15 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If the structure of the sentence is basically the same and only a few words / links / pronouns change (e.g. to adapt it to the different article), then it still counts as copy-pasted. For example, also translating from another WP requires proper attribution. Now my personal opinion on this matter is that one could easily try to compose a completely different sentence for different articles, especially in cases like 2022 Italian government crisis (which requires a more detailed description of the crisis) vs Sergio Mattarella (where more focus on Mattarella's role is needed rather than on the whole background). But it's fine if you want to copy-paste some paragraphs. It will just take more time and focus to add the same corrections to all places where that content has been copied, but WP is an ongoing effort, so no rush is needed.
