European witchcraft

WOW! It looks like you did a major overhaul of that page. You may not have noticed, but my comment on that page was from over two years ago. When I originally created the European witchcraft page, it was just a copy of the main Witchcraft article, which was horribly thrown together itself. I started to make revisions offsite, but unfortunately got wrapped up in real life and abandoned the project. Hopefully I'll get the time to read through this latest version of the article and make some additions. I have numerous, well-referenced, non-fluffy books on the history of witchcraft, so I should be able to make a contribution now, even if I dropped the ball on it two years ago.

Greets

Nice "meeting" you. Your suggestion to people who have issues with your sexual identity cracked me up, which might have been problematic if my manager (one veal pen over) had asked me what made me laugh. But thanks anyway; it was worth it.

Oh, and I think I may swipe a bunch of your userboxes... Septegram 16:26, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I just thought that I would contact you about your message on the wiccatalk page. I am currently without religion and I was wanting to know what the wiccan religion is all about, because what I know so far interest me. I would like it if you would contact my talk page if you are willing to introduce me into the religion.Solon Olrek 17:49, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sat/tan

Hi, I saw your plea for help on the Sat tan artcle. Are you still interested in getting it listed? As someone with an interest in the subject (not the religion) I'd be interested to have a go at getting it past the censors!

Do you still have a copy? --Mike 08:18, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kuronue, I got a copy of the original:User:Haseler/Sandbox and I've virtually started again with: User:Haseler/Sat-Tan. From this quick edit I can see a few problems:

  1. There are almost no reliable sources on the web
  2. The article will not get in unless there is a clear statement of the origins of the Sat-Tan groups. There is nothing on the web
  3. There is no reference in any of the domains .edu or .edu.uk (not very hopeful)
  4. It would have to fit with all the other strands of satanism
  5. I need to find an authorative source for the sanskrit sat & tan
  6. I can virtually put everything that I can source into the opening paragraph!

E.g. I've been unable to find any authorative source (ie academic, major newspaper) which can put the beliefs of this group in any type of context.

Can you help? --Mike 10:34, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there. I've just prodded A Modest Destiny as it doesn't seem to meet the web content notability guidelines. If you could take a look at it, that would be awesome. Thanks! --Brad Beattie (talk) 18:46, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent contribution(s) to Wikipedia are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at How to cite sources. Thanks! --Brad Beattie (talk) 22:47, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Solidarity

Hey. Here's a symbol. If you want to support the cause, put it on your user page or keep it on your talk page; if we get it on enough pages, it might just count for something. Please remove it if you don't want to show it. And if you've got a better picture, be my guest and use it. --Kizor 16:20, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Lol, I hope this doesn't sound odd or anything, but I would like to thank you for your comment here. Though I doubt it will have any effect whatsoever, that is exactly what I've been trying to get across. I just needed somebody else to back me up, and you did it beautifully. Thank you. UNCIVIL Hi, I found your comments about me very rude and uncivil. I feel that nude human beings are inapropriate to have on an online free encyclopedia. As 1 user said, you are really inderectly blocking some users who feel that the photo is a bit too earthy. Perhaps we censor the picture by putting a black bar over the inapropriate areas of the person's body. Or, there should be a warning posted so people know before they are horrified by the photo.--bobsmith319 19:49, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bobsmith, let this issue go! You have carried on about it for over twelve months now. Please understand that the picture will not be censored simply because you have hang ups over naked bodies. And how can anyone be horrified by the photo. Have you forgotten how you emerged into this world? Thank you Kuronue for keeping an eye on pregnancy. Gillyweed 13:44, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

idk anymore

Sorry, I am just confused on how these work and where I sign. I am just going to make my own section, you have my permission to move it so long as this message stays: I want to keep the picture, clothes cover too much on what the picture needs. In some cases nudity is necessary, this is one of them, and I know full well that people who don't want to see it will see it, thats just too bad. I will be gone July 1-8.--WhereAmI 01:33, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for something to do? WikiProject Furry is improving articles on furry and anthropomorphic topics, and we'd like to have you on board.

Our current goal is to raise Anthrocon, furry convention and furry fandom to good article status and beyond - but if that doesn't take your fancy, there are plenty of other articles to work on. Give it a go and let us know how you're doing!

About auburn hair

  • Maybe it would be better a side picture of your face (and a lot of hair, help raising it, maybe with a chignon).
  • If your hair does not shines into reddish-gold or copper in the sun, you have the "tawny" color of hair. --213.140.19.113 17:09, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Afroboy.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Afroboy.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:05, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Voiced bilabial fricative

Thanks for editing voiced bilabial fricative so that the occurrence section conforms to the table guidelines. You are right in that it doesn't usually take too long to change an individual page. Unfortunately, there are around fifty consonant pages that aren't conformed to the guidelines and I thought the task might get done a bit quicker if other people helped. If you'd like to help out with other consonant pages, you're more than welcome. Here is a list of them. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, I'll probably be right be right behind you touching things up like I did here. Oh, and nice userpage. Ƶ§œš¹ [aɪm ˈfɻɛ̃ⁿdˡi] 21:21, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ref Desk

Hi Kuronue. I thought your question was pretty valid, and it shouldn't have been made an embarrassing situation. I'm not qualified to give you any definite answer so just take what I say as very general information, my personal take on it really. I can only say it gives me the shivers whenever I see a woman doing this. I doubt that you'd make them permanently smaller as such (I can see no way that would happen), but I can see where you could damage some of the supportive tissue, potentially leading to earlier onset of ageing signs such as sagging, which nonetheless may not be noticeable in any way for years. I'm also assuming you don't have implants of any type - I think it would be a really bad idea to bind in that case. My best suggestion would be that if you are going to do this, bind as loosely as possible to get the desired effect, and leave them bound for as short a time as possible. Can I recommend you ask a doctor or specialist who may have further advice. Cheers, --jjron 12:51, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That being said, let me implore you to completely ignore anything that wikipedia says regarding medical advice. As stated on WT:RD, swapping tips on reducing discomfort is fine, but we are not qualified in any manner to give medical advice (nor are we licensed, but that's our problem not yours) and you should not trust the safety of your body to people with absolutely no verifiable qualifications whatsoever. --frotht 23:01, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Eh, ask a doctor? Well, if you're really that worried. I was more cautioning you not to let wikipedia reassure you that you'll be fine; I wasn't cautioning you to see a doctor about every single thing you do.. sometimes we come across as hypocondriacs because it's apparently easy to confuse "only a doctor can say for sure" with "zomg you must see a doctor, go what are you waiting for GO NOW" --frotht 23:09, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki's newest bundle of joy

I'm happy to help out. She's really not a bad editor, if she focuses. That school article she created was well done, for instance, and she learned referencing just by following my edit trail. As long as we can teach her (kindly) to reign in her enthusiasm, as well as the WP:NPA and WP:AGF policies, I think she'll settle in here quite ncely and be a positive addition to the project. Regarding tanasinn

This is directly quoted from your edit to the article: “wow. What a load of... this looks like it came directly from Encyclopedia Dramatica. This is wikipedia, not a mystic cult. Please explain in concrete encyclopediac terms and establish notability”. While I can’t really say that the article itself makes good Wikipedia material, your attitude doesn’t reflect very well upon Wikipedia’s editorial practices. First off, by saying “what a load of...”, you invite bad faith. Second, you say that it looks like “it came directly from Encyclopedia Dramatica” (it didn’t, it came directly from the Japanese Wikipedia) and request nobody in particular to “explain in concrete encyclopedic terms and establish notability”. However, the article is in quite concrete encyclopedic terms; the notability is generally linked to, though you’d be hard-pressed to find the reliable secondary sources that Wikipedia so adores, I’d think. Moreover, the most likely candidate to do this is a user who has apparently long since left Wikipedia (or at least the English one).
Please don’t take this the wrong way, I’m just saying in good faith that I found this statement rather harsh, and perhaps it reflects poorly on how closely you look at these matters before you say anything about them (which I would honestly know nothing about).
    Have a nice day! – BRPXQZME (talk) 00:01, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Comments at Abortion and mental health

Hi, Kuronue. I just wanted to drop a note regarding the discussion here. Please don't misunderstand my comment, it was intended to discourage the personal testimony. belief rebirth!

Dear Kuronue,

I'm reaching out to researchers and writers interested in the emerging, or re-emerging, movements inspired by ancient culture in the areas of religion/theology/mythology/culture...I spare-headed an artistic collaboration between a music professor, rock-vocalist and poet to create a modern multi-media experience of the cathardic journey inspired by ancient pagan poetic traditions; A romance to nature seen as a beautiful, divine and omnipotent woman.

It has singularly been my goal to respect tradition while allowing a free and spontaneous interpretation...I believe the utility of a quasi-rebirth of some aspects of the ancient religious tendancies would be achieved in an increase of tolerance, sympathy, and freedom of expression in our modern discoures on religion...so much needed. Until we have a cultural revolution tantamount to the politcal revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries [aiding the rebirth of a government of, by and for the people] in the area of religion, I will not rest. Until the rebirth of religions which are of, by and for the people, as fluid as art, as deep as mythology and theology and as powerful as culture, I do not believe we will be truly free no matter what economic or political conditions surround us. Democracy without a democratic cultural is as frustrating as it is ineffectual.

If you have a moment could you peruse the poetry project site. http://www.misbeliever.net As you are a worker in these areas, having ebhanced the Wikipedia, the world's greatest encyclopedia, I would be very honored with any remarks or critisms you could offer either me or my collaborators.
