Just because an city or town is small doesn't mean that editors can skimp on its content. Most of the information in the article is also cited by a single source as well, which raises severe concerns to me regarding the broadness of the research that was put into this article. I don't think I'm not "assuming good faith" here, and that simply doesn't apply in this case. The article must meet the Good Article criteria to be included. Google searches aren't definitive end all and be all of anything. There are buildings in many cities called "libraries" that contain something called "books" that can provide additional references and resources for more research. Deletion of QuantifiCare article

As the author of deleted QuantifiCare article and a wikipedia beginner, I would like to understand why it was deleted.

Criteria mentioned for speed deletion is CSD#G11 :

Blatant advertising. Pages which exclusively promote some entity and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic. Note that simply having a company or product as its subject does not qualify an article for this criterion.

I created the deleted article following models like :

assuming they were not blatant advertising because of :

"simply having a company or product as its subject does not qualify an article for this criterion."
these articles refer to same kind of company (i.e. Contract Research Organization)
these articles have not been deleted

Before fixing it (and recreating it), I need to :

get a copy of the deleted article
understand what need to be changed to conform to existing articles mentioned previously. Any suggestion ?

Any help would be welcomed for the second point, as I am a beginner in article authoring and do not want to make other mistakes.

Hi Julian,

That was speedy alright!

The blatant plagiarism effect was caused by the fact that I (and another lady) wrote Niwel's website content as well. Do I need to re-word my own copy for it to be ok on Wiki? This is my first attempt at putting anything here. The problem is there isn't a whole lot written about him yet save for what I (and other people helping him get along in his career) have written, and the two big press reviews which I quoted from.

Davenport, Iowa

Judging by your projects, you can probably help me with your second to last post "I would really like to see the Climate section expanded with general information, rather than hard statistic". Where would you suggest looking for this info? I'm headed to the library in a bit, for more research on the other points mentioned from other reviewers. As far as the little images go, they are part of the predefined infobox. Also, this is my first FAC, how long do they last for, I don't see any specifics on the page. List of wettest tropical cyclones in the United States#Iowa and Category:Natural disasters in Iowa might be a good starting place. See Boston#Climate, which gives the reader an overview of the weather patterns. Alternatively, you could dedicate some of the section to listing examples of notable storms, similar to North Carolina#Climate. Attachment therapy

Hey there! I know this is well outside the realm of what I usually ask for your help on, but I'm involved in a rather knotty GAR on Attachment therapy, which can be found at Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/Attachment therapy/1. A few weeks ago, I offered a second opinion on a GA review of the article, and after some work by the editor, passed the article. Immediately after passing it, another user posted a series of complaints, and then almost immediately listed the article at GAR. Some of his complaints were valid and work has been done on the article, but he still continues to complain about the article – the problem being that most of his complaints are fairly vague and unsubstantial. I still think the article is of GA status, but the main editor and I are looking to get some outside input to see if we're in the right or wrong. If you could take a look through this article, and some of the issues in the GAR (they're sort of summarized at the bottom, if you don't feel like reading through the whole thing), it would be fantastic. Also fantastic would be if you could bring in some of your other editing friends to comment. If not, then I understand completely...I know you're busy with everything else you do on WP. Thanks! However, I have three articles up for featured status Tropical Storm Kiko (2007), Hurricane Hernan (2008), and Timeline of the 2003 Atlantic hurricane season, which I wont be able to respond to. Edits (unlinkings) to tennis articles

Juliancolton – just to make you aware that Tennis expert has a one-man crusade going against unlinking dates and common terms, even though it's in line with the Manual of Style. He's reverted or undone Tony's edits and similar edits of mine and of other editors. He always claims it's because there's 'no consensus' to unlink, but he really just means that he doesn't like it. No other tennis editors have complained about unlinking, or relinked anything, or supported his reverts. So if you think articles would be better off without all that overlinking, go ahead and remove it yourself. (There is a script available to make the process much easier – get back to me if you want to find out on how to set it up.) Many of the adjectives listed at Template:Adjectivals and demonyms for countries and nations (and used in the adjective entry on each country outline) simply redirect back to the country's article.

Those redirects (and their plurals) need to be replaced with disambiguation pages.

There are two templates used for this: Template:dp cadj, and Template:dp cadj2. The first is for the singular adjective, the second is for the plural (but only when that plural is a demonym – for an example of the second one, see Germans).

Template:dp cadj is used like this: {{subst:dp cadj|adjective|country name}}.

Caution: These templates just provide a starting point – the pages they create must be completely edited to fit the specific country. The information is incorrect for many adjectives...

For example, in dp cadj it says there is no language by that name – but that's not true for many countries! You have to check to see if there is such a language or dialect by that name (whether covered in Wikipedia or not – use dictionaries, Google, etc. to find out) and correct that entry if one exists. Dialects can be especially tricky to find. Ecuadorian Spanish, for example, isn't covered on Wikipedia, but when people use that dialect they are said to be "speaking Ecuadorian".

"A person from {{{2}}}, or of {{{1}}} descent" assumes there is no article specifically about the people. Most countries don't have one, but there are a lot that do. Taiwanese people, Chinese people, Japanese people, French people, German people, Italian people, etc. When they do, the link needs to be added in. But for those that the plural works, dp cadj2 should be used to create a disambiguation page for that, so that the link works in the base disambig. See German and Germans, to see how "Germans" is used in the "German" disambig.

You'll need to check all links for correctness, since the template's link syntax doesn't fit every situation. For example, for the Taiwanese disambiguation page the template's plural in the List entry produces List of Tiawaneses, which needed to be changed to the actual link (List of Taiwanese people).

Template:dp cadj2 is currently configured for country names that end in "a", like Albania and Algeria. It also works by specifying Germa instead of Germany. Countries that don't have a separate plural demonym don't need this template. For example, the plural of "Tiawanese" is "Taiwanese".

The naming of articles related to country adjectives is a little chaotic, and is not standardized throughout Wikipedia. Be careful when renaming pages not to step on any toes. I was lucky nobody freaked out when I moved Taiwanese (the language) and replaced it with a disambiguation page. There was a big argument over what to call the language immediately after that, but I wasn't involved in that discussion. I didn't mean to stir up a beehive. :)

I've upgraded the adjectival table by linkifying the adjectives. This new version is located at User:The Transhumanist/Sandbox20#table of country adjectives. You'll probably want to use this version to access the redirects. When the redirects are all converted to disambiguation pages (or otherwise processed – whatever solution is best for each), we can replace the table in the template with this one.

I've completed the disambiguation pages up through the J's, so the task has been cut down in size a bit already. You can use those as examples to guide you in how to do the rest. Notice that some of them already existed before I came along, so there is some variation. Where there were existing disambigs, I merged them with the template version. Have fun with the rest. If you run into any situations where it is unclear what to do, or for any other reason, feel free to ask me anything.

It seems an IP user, who has a level 3 warning thing, is a bit annoyed at me for reverting his vandalism to Hurricane Paloma (2008) [2] and decided to send me a rude comment in Spanish [3] which I've translated and this is what I got "Hola biscocho de ciclon.. ;) sabias que Paloma en español significa PENE?? -> Hello biscocho of ciclon.. ;) Wise that Dove in Spanish signifies PENIS??" Germans

Hello. On 17 October 2008, you moved Germans to German people "per request," and subsequent edits have set up Germans as a disambiguation page. Who is responsible for disambiguating the large number of incoming links to the dab page? I don't regularly disambiguate links to German, but I do dab links to other terms of nationality (Danish, English, Swedish, to name a few), and I often incidentally dab links to other terms of nationality when I find them in the course of my dab work. I have dabbed numerous links to German to point to Germans, and now that it's been recast as a dab page, those edits are effectively ruined. --Tkynerd (talk) 20:20, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Now to support those links, we need disambiguation pages. Otherwise, the links just go to the respective country's name (or somewhere strange), which doesn't really fit the links.

Those redirects (and their plurals) need to be replaced with disambiguation pages. Any existing country adjectival disambiguation pages (that we haven't done yet) need to be improved.
