Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You are missing the point. Whether or not the goal is SEO, you need to avoid edits that promote your website and also avoid a pattern of edits that indicates that you are here to promote a viewpoint.
