You reverted an edit to Outlaw motorcycle club " Many find a fulfilling identity in their fantasy persona in the biker culture"

You recently reverted an edit without including a reason. I hope your reason is not because the statement does not portray the subject matter the way you would like it to. The statement may not be flattering to fans of the culture but it is correct. It is a basic statement regarding human behavior. I can bring in the social and psychological editors into the discussion if you find it to be a non-objective statement to reach a consensus. Many people assume other identities for psychological reasons and a psychological book could be written about the Outlaw culture. The phenomenon is not peculiar to this group. Dungeons and Dragons and other fantasy personas are similar. Many internet gamers will also find the fantasy persona as psychologically fulfilling. The reasons are many among them are the sense of power given to people who otherwise feel powerless in their jobs and life. It can also apply to many wiki editors who believe they exert power and control over others as fulfilling themselves psychologically .

Hello! Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! It seems like you have an issue with a recent revert I did. Please don't feel offended. However before my revert ClueBot NG reverted the same edit you made as possible vandalism or edit issues. ClueBotNG makes little to few mistakes on detecting issues on edits here. I was using a anti-vandal tool and detected your edit as a minor issue, therefore I reverted it. If you think it was a mistake discuss it here which you did and just revert my revert to let other users review your edit. However you got to remember that you must cite your sources. Please read: WP:FORUM for more information on primary research.
Also note; editing with no reason is accepted here. Edit summaries are optional but is encouraged. I do assume good faith, however that to is optional. What I did was a regular revert and not a type of revert which would send a warning template to your talk page. Again sorry for this issue, however you do need to cite your sources on most edits and state your edit in a neutral point of view. ///EuroCarGT 01:36, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No issue with your right to revert however it does seem you are rather quick to revert after reading your talk page and looking at how fast you reverted previous articles. That is something you should consider. The reason for adding to the article was to supplement the previous sentence and there is even a notice that the article needs improvement which I did. The real reason for others deletion is because of the accuracy of the statement and the denial of the psychological reasoning for joining groups by some involved in groups. I am not claiming that as your viewpoint because you did not take the time to exam the edit before reverting. It does make the "meatheads" out there who want to deny that their reason for joining that group can be accurately summarized in what they consider an unflattering reason. This is why wiki will always fail in its mission because people can change without reason or logic simply for their own unfounded reasons. I will get of my soap box now. Have a good day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.54.40.234 (talk) 03:23, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Alrighty!! I do view edits, if a user reverts a edit without looking at it, your most likely going to get blocked for "disruptive editing". Everybody has different reading capabilities, some people read quickly, some slowly, I read every edit keenly and make sure it doesn't contain vandalism, content issues and etc. Wiki will not fail, let me tell you that, Wikipedia is one of the Top 10 most visited sites in the world, no even close to failing. You should go to Special:RecentChanges and see how many edits don't have reasons and summary. Remember there optional. ///EuroCarGT 03:32, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am not the only one who has noticed. Time stamps tell the truth. You also failed to comprehend what I said. "fail in its mission" is not the same as Wiki failing as a web site. I was very specific and you read it broadly. This is more evidence against your hasty edits. Slow down and read two or three times and make sure you comprehend before you change or I will smack your hands with a ruler. Just kidding about the last part but it is better to take your time and be accurate. You did correctly identify disruptive editing as a resolution. I am only here anonymously due to the meatheads in the very unscholarly article I added to. We can go back and forth but it serves no further purpose. So once again Good Day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.54.40.234 (talk) 04:35, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you agree with my decsion on this one. Any feedback welcome. That new tool is awesome btw, especially the sidebar. Cheers! Irondome (talk) 00:54, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! I shall recommend you read New Page Patrol for reviewing articles! This is important because if you mark a page as review without physically reviewing it, 1 bad article just came into Wikipedia. Just a little heads up! Thanks for being a New Page Patroller! ///EuroCarGT 01:14, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Its ok. I just got the sequence backwards. Its recommendations for improvement or deletion, with comments for creator, then classification of article status, then confirm reviewed. I think thats right? Irondome (talk) 01:20, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well, that's some what correct, first off look at the page first, look for issues and problems such as not cites (references), stub, violates BLP, has a neutral point-of-view and etc., then you could discuss these issues by placing tags or talking to the author, then confirm review. ///EuroCarGT 01:25, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lolita dresses

Hi, You removed my item on the website LolitaDresses.com. I disagree completely and believe that you had no right in removing this item, that it is a valid item for inclusion in Wikipedia. The website mirrors the term "lolita dress" and as such is the main online reference point for people wanting to acquire Lolita dresses. The website displays and reflects the variety of garments available in the marketplace under the breath of Lolita style dresses and shows historic reference to recycled garments from the 50s and 60s that are categorised under this style. As such it is more of a reference point for Lolita dresses than Wikipedia. Please reinstate this item. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.168.208.242 (talk) 02:07, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

EuroCarGT,

I am not frustrated in any manner because the fact is fact. The block on me from adding content was lifted and I have reverted Deepa’s(my wife) marital status in the Article. The fact is that from the beginning, when I created the article, the marital status was there for three years. Now you started to edit the article even after giving you enough links to prove marital status. Still you revert the article by hiding the fact that Deepa is married to me, I think you have some personal interest in this matter. This will affect the credibility of encyclopedia. Most of the people depending on the information provided by Wikipedia and trust it. By the action your kind of editors, without knowing the fact directly, will lead to misunderstandings. So, kindly try to be self controlled while editing the Wikipedia encyclopedia. Please do not allow to reflect your emotional jousters on hard core information. If you can’t understand the language in the YouTube links which are given for citation, you can ask for a marriage certificate which is in English. I can provide it through a personal email. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia of information sourced from places outside of wikipedia itself. It does not claim knowledge onto any specific event or thing, it simply states and collects the knowledge we already have. You dont call Gabe Newell anything else but "Gabe Newell", because that is his given name, not the one 'wikipedia' decided he would have. So please, stop editing my changes. I am simply stating the name that the creators of DotA gave to DotA. You wouldn't vandalize someones birth name, or IP name such as "DotA," so why would you vandalize other names associated with the IP? Its non-sensible and dishonest as an editor. I have provided my relevant sources, one by third party, and one by the first party that created the IP. I have followed all guidelines as presented by wikipedia, however, I am still being vandalized because people who do not understand DotA, are editing DotA. The fact is, the genre is ARTS, the whole community of DotA2 uses ARTS, other gaming forums use ARTS (see: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/tag/dota-2/), the owner of the IP uses ARTS, because it is not a 'moba. Other games may be, but DotA2 is an ARTS, as by nomenclature, by assignment of the IP holders, and by transivity as I have stated above. Thank you for your time, I hope I have convinced you to stop the edit war. Correctingsomestuff —Preceding undated comment added 01:30, 17 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

American Military University

Hi there,

I am an alumni of AMU and am heading up a project wherein I am creating pages for both AMU and APU. I have created an entire article...minus the sources (have not gone back through to add yet) and am trying to figure out how we can merge these pages since you control the redirect. APUS will serve as a splash page of sorts but I will be unable to post my finished AMU article (when I am done) because it says the name is already in use. How can we do this? When I get done can we simply copy and past all that I have put together and then slap it on your AMU page and if so will it then be the first wiki page to pop up when someone searches "American Military University"?

Thanks, JBullins (talk) 01:57, 17 September 2013 (UTC)JBullins[reply]

Assume good faith and please do not bite the newcomers. The edits don't look like vandalism or editing tests, more likely a user who doesn't know of the policies here. Peter James (talk) 23:53, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Glitch Art

Hello I believe you may have made a mistake in removing the external link. The link went to a blog post with pictures of glitch art rendered from the new Google Maps api. This gives users a perfect example of 3-D glitch art that can happen with mapping software. The post is original, transparent, and shows users a new perspective on glitch art. I would really appreciate it if you put it back up. Here is the link again, for your approval. http://miklinseo.com/glitch-art/

EuroCarGT

I notice you are from Canada, which is a long way from Ireland let alone the east coast of Ireland where Baltinglass is located.

You also appear not to understand the nature of the GAA which is not only the largest sporting organisation within Ireland but also an amateur organisation.

The fact that you have chosen to block the update of one not only one of the clubs members but also one of the clubs underage coaches shows a total disregard for not only the Baltinglass GAA Club but also the Coiste Na Nog, that Children’s section to you, and a total disregard for the GAA Coiste Na Nog whose own motto is "Give Respect, Get Respect".

Regardless of your feeling that my update were "neutral" or not, the fact remains that BELIEF, ATTITUDE, LOYALTY, TRUST, & OPTIMISM is the Motto of Baltinglass GAA club.

Should you persist in blocking my updates I will have no option to report you and your IP Address to Wikipedia for vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.167.135.56 (talk) 21:17, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and Welcome to Wikipedia! I reverted your edit because I felt that it was not stated in a neutral point-of-view and also stating/explaining the slogan or motto, isn't encyclopedic content. ///EuroCarGT 21:21, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your involvement with DRN

Hi there, I noticed that you haven't been as active at DRN as you was before. DRN has been a bit backlogged lately and we could use some extra hands. We have updated our volunteer list to a new format, Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/Volunteers (your name is still there under the old format if you haven't updated it) and are looking into ways to make DRN more effective and more rewarding for volunteers (your input is appreciated!). If you don't have much time to volunteer at the moment, that's fine too, just move your name to the inactive list (you're free to add yourself back to active at any time). Hope to see you again soon :) Steven Zhang (talk) 13:17, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A Fazenda 6 talk page

Hello, EuroCarGT.

Well, I just blanked the page because I've managed to solve the little issue that I had with the user 201.8.197.35.

So, it would be unnecessary to my complaint on that page. But you're free to restore it or do what do you think is the best.

Best wishes! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.15.97.226 (talk) 17:58, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see how my editing is disruptive when it is a) true and b) backed with a source, as I was advised to do by another user. I am within my rights to add information about Kevin Clifton and editing out anything negative is not portraying him realistically. you can't change history and you certainly won't stop the truth revealing itself whether it is through Wikipedia or any other form of media. I wonder if you have ever read 1984. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dirtylittlesecret99 (talkcontribs) 22:14, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

Your interest in American Indian articles is appreciated, but please do not project your own Canadian views and biases, both good and potentially not so good, onto articles on other countries. Indians south of the Border in the USA view ourselves differently and call ourselves as a group differently than our brothers and sisters in CA because our histories are different. Sadly, our relationship with the greater society and government has also been very different. Regardless, we call ourselves American Indians here. There are likely as many sociological and psychological reasons as there are our Nations that could (and likely do) keep academics in business for life. The reasons or the 'why' really dont matter though, only the what. Please do not refer to American Indians are Indigenous. We are not indigenous, we are what we call ourselves. Please respect that, as we respect the right of our brothers and sisters in CA to embrace another term today, and maybe other terms in the future. Our paths have diverged, and so to what we call ourselves.

Peace. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.61.192.67 (talk) 19:46, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and Welcome! Please use the page's talk page if you see a problem with the page and want to express it, removing vital content from a page describing history is not the best thing to do here. Thanks. ///EuroCarGT 19:49, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've done so, albeit perhaps not artfully, but none the less to the best of my wikability (at the bottom of the page). And removing history was not actually done. Reverting the name to a correct one per the artcle itself (i.e., the very 1st paragraph no less clearly indicated Indians in America/the USA refer to ourselves as American Indians). I assume you read the article before removing other people's corrections eliminating conflicts within the article itself (disrespecting other ethnicities in the process, while spreading non-Indian whims and lies)... If you haven't, then maybe that would be the best thing to do here. -Peace

Chomsky is not a liberal, he's an anarchist

Chomsky is not a liberal, he's an anarchist. He should not be on the "liberal thinkers" page, and if he must be, it should be noted that he is an anarchist (a philosophy deeply at odds with liberalism). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.173.120.8 (talk) 22:19, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting blocked users

As far as I can tell, these reverts[3][4][5] were of constructive edits by IPs. The fact that they were subsequently blocked isn't a reason to revert - the blocks appear to have been for personal attacks, and from their contributions they don't look like vandals. Peter James (talk) 01:13, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Peter! The edits were constrcutive and legit however I thought when the term "dating" came by, I though the user was adding a un-related edit towards the page. Also I did not warn or report them as they did nothing wrong according to the user's talk page and My Wikipedia namespace contributions. However one user was block evading meaning the user is currently blocked and the user is trying to by-pass the block which is a violation of the Wikipedia guidelines and block policy, the other user was disruptive editing an un-related page. Apologies for the mishap. ///EuroCarGT 01:28, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree to the "assuming good faith", and ALL of the other rules of this discussion. As such, I've read the bullet points you have located under your greeting, and the 'Terms of Use' outlined in the link.

In my edit on the page for the ACDC song Night Prowler, the lyrics I added were "as you lie there naked, like a body in a tomb", which I added AFTER the lyrics "You don't feel the steel / Till it's hanging out your back". The lyrics "as you lie there naked, like a body in a tomb" are, in fact, lyrics to the song in question. I also listened to the song earlier today, well earlier this Sunday, it's almost Monday morning, and these were some of the lyrics I heard to Night Prowler. I believe you may think the lyrics I added are unnecessary. Is this correct, and if so, why did you choose to not delete the lyrics I added immediately after you deemed the lyrics unwanted?

I will be talking to you Monday afternoon, as I will be going to bed now, so good night to you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.131.186.38 (talk) 07:00, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
