Hello there. Would you please review Wikipedia:External_links#Advertising_and_conflicts_of_interest? Your user name and your edits strongly suggest you are editing Wikipedia in a manner that is not widely appreciated around here. I did preserve one of your external links by formatting it correctly, but you will annoy people if you are simply trying to drive web traffic instead of actually trying to improve the prose of articles. Would you please consider sticking around, and perhaps taking a look at the discussions at WT:MED or the project page at WP:MED? Thanks. Sorry to offer a criticism on your first contributions. Hello Biosthmors. Thank you for your message. I was under the assumption that adding an external link in the external link section is allowed. We are a non-profit organization - European Association of Urology. All our material is freely accessible. Our patient information is based on the EAU Guidelines on urological cancers and urological diseases, which are evidence-based and non biased. Our aim is to disseminate patient information to patients throughout Europe in their native language. No commercial gain intended. - Hello Esther. Thank you for coming here to spread good free information. By the way, you are completely free to remain anonymous on Wikipedia if you prefer. If you (or another person you work with) do not mind making another account, I'd recommend doing that and just letting this account remain stale. The problem with the name of this account is that it appears explicitly designed to spread EAU-centered info. That's not necessarily bad, of course, because you guys appear to have great information. It just puts a bad taste in people's mouths. If you want to publicly edit Wikipedia under your real name you could make an "Esther (EAU)"-named account, for example. That way it looks like 1) it's just one person editing and 2) you're open about your affiliation. Both of those things are welcomed around here. After you've recreated an account, please first post a thread at WT:MED before adding any more external links that go to EAU. (I know, it might sound a little silly doing this, but I hope you see the wisdom.) An independent, third-party editor will review them first and then incorporate them into the article if they find them to be improvements. I hope you realise there was no ill intend. I will follow your directions and create another account under my own name. Just to be sure, am i allowed to link to our patient information website in the external links section, or add a small section in the body of the text without problems? It's not a good idea for you yourself to add the info as "in line with Wikipedia policies, you should avoid linking to a site that you own, maintain, or represent—even if Wikipedia guidelines seem to imply that it may otherwise be linked", per WP:ADV). The strategy around that is to ask someone else to add it for you. You could email me a short list, let's say of 10 links you think would benefit Wikipedia and I could check them out and include them for you. If you could format them like this:
