Adaptations of Sherlock Holmes

I have reverted your edit to Adaptations of Sherlock Holmes for two reasons:

1. it was a direct copy of the text at this source, which is a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policy;
2. the text claims that Ms Meiser was "singlehandedly responsible for the popularity of Holmes in the US", but does not give a clear indication of how that is so. Did she write or produce a particular series of adaptations? The vagueness of the text makes it particularly unhelpful in an encyclopedic sense.

Again, you have copied text verbatim from your sources. You call it a paraphrase, but the paraphrase is so close (using whole sentences unchanged) as to be a copyright violation at worst or at the very least, plagiarism. You really need to write the text in your own words. But more importantly, you still haven't clarified what Meiser's specific contribution was. You claim that she wrote a program for the NBC radio network, but you don't give a name or air date for this program. The article does mention a program named The New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes that was broadcast through the late 1930s and 1940s, but this show is credited to different writers and doesn't appear to be the one you're mentioning. I understand that your sources appear to be somewhat vague (and the Archive.org page appears to be part of their Wiki (i.e. user editable content) and therefore does not qualify as a reliable source. I'm going to open this discussion on Talk:Adaptations of Sherlock Holmes page as well, so others might join in, but given the vagueness and unreliability of your sources, I'm not inclined to allow this material to remain. I'm still reviewing your latest updates to Adaptations of Sherlock Holmes, but for future reference, if someone has claimed that there is a content dispute and opened a discussion about the matter, you should address the matter in the talk page rather than simply moving forward with more edits. Wikipedia is a collaborative project and in order to collaborate, editors must communicate. WikiDan61^ChatMe!_ReadMe!! 03:40, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
