Do not remove Biographies of Living Persons prods from articles without addressing the issue, as you did with Brandon Huntley. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the respective talk page instead. Thank you. Only a sysop can remove it please donot remove the template in future! BurhanAhmed (talkcontribs) 02:11, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please point me to the policy that says only an admin can remove a sticky prod. In any case, stick prods only apply to unreferenced BLPs which this was not. I believe that as I have already objected to a prod tag, you cannot prod the article again. --Banana (talk) 02:21, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
On further review, the article has been proded three times. --Banana (talk) 02:44, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have closed the two articles you nominated for deletion at Articles for Deletion. The articles that you nominated have been closed as a Speedy Keep as there is clear notability on the subjects. Before nominating other articles for deletion under The notability policy please read it first and feel free to ask me, or any other editor active with AFD, questions you may have. Janet Seidel and referenced text

You reverted my edits which had

  • added 3rd party references to a previously unreferenced BLP
  • consequently removed the BLP Prod notice asno longer appropriate as the biography is now referenced.

I've restored the referenced version of this BLP. I'm not sure of your rationale as you didn't use the Edit summary or article Talk page to explain, but if (for example) you're querying whether there should be an article on this person, it would really need to go to AfD as it is referenced and the Allmusic biography clearly contains assertions of Notability. Attempting to have content removed from Wikipedia regarding other medical websites when you are involved with one of them may be viewed as a WP:COI. Hey Burhan I seem to have found an issue. The page on your website Medicalopaedia was deleted [2] and thus you wish the same for others. If we created another page called Online medical wiki encyclopedias less notability would be required for mentioning Medicalopaedia. Anyway sure we can find a compromise. The article Journal of Pakistan Medical Students has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

New journal, no indication of notability, article creation premature. Does not meet WP:GNG or WP:NJournals.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Crusio (talk) 09:05, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is notable enough thats why I added the article. However, if you dont agree, we can incite a discussion among wikipedians, and lets see what they decide. I have expanded the article and given more references. If you still have issues, Kindly send me a message back. Burhan Ahmed | Penny for your thoughts? 07:07, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Burhan Ahmed. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Journal of Pakistan Medical Students, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to you, your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Crusio (talk) 09:14, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Linking

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. JFW | T@lk 12:31, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your repeated linking to one particular online source, with which you are personally involved, really is a form of spam. Please let me know if you have questions about this. JFW | T@lk 18:41, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Burhan Ahmed, and thanks for contributing to Wikipedia!

Medicalopedia

Hi Burhan. Medicalopedia is not a reliable source for medical information on Wikipedia. Ideal sources for Wikipedia medical articles include reviews by experts in authoritative journals, textbooks, and national or international guidelines. See WP:MEDRS. Blogs and wikis are never OK. Please do not cite or link to Medicalopedia any more. --Anthonyhcole (talk) 12:29, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. A number of the articles at Medicalopedia are copies of Wikipedia articles. It is OK to copy our articles but you must (a) cite the original Wikipedia article on your article page and (b) release your article under the same copyright license: presently your articles are covered by CC-BY-NC-SA, but this is more restrictive than CC-BY-SA or GFDL which cover all Wikipedia articles (mostly CC-BY-SA). File source problem with File:Noor Jehan, Queen of Melody.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Noor Jehan, Queen of Melody.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

The article Shahida Badsha has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Waziristan Peace March for deletion, because it seems to be an advertisement, rather than an encyclopedia article.

Hey, Burhan Ahmed, thanks for keeping an eye out for copyright violations! I saw that you tagged this article as a copyvio. The article has actually been like that since it was created way back in 2007, and since the website listed as the source claims a copyright date of 2010, I'm guessing they copied it from Wikipedia, rather than Wikipedia copying from them. This makes it ambiguous enough for me to be uncomfortable speedy-deleting it (after all, G12 is only for unambiguous cases.) No worries, though! That's quite a tricky thing to pick up on. Thanks again, and happy editing! Writ Keeper 07:11, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Dilip kumar birth place burhan.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on History of the National Assembly of Pakistan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://web.archive.org/web/20130306184504/http://www.na.gov.pk/en/content.php?id=75. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 16:33, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Sixth Affiliated Hospital of XMU has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No sourcing in-article and no evident specific sourcing found in a BEFORE sweep. Hospitals are generally notable, but there has got to be some sourcing to retain the article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
