Apache Nitrogen Products

  • ... that the Apache Powder Company used a fleet of fireless locomotives to prevent accidental explosions? Source: "Later, a “fireless” locomotive, manufactured by the H.K. Porter Co. of Pittsburgh, provided greater horsepower. It relied on an insulated steam reservoir rather than a conventional boiler that emitted sparks, which could prove deadly when hauling dynamite." - from [1] and [2]

  • New enough and long enough. QPQ present. Hook is cited (using the Daily Star link) and present in article, and it's interesting, too. Don't see other issues. Nice to see an Arizona history DYK! Raymie (tc) 02:58, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
