  • ALT1: ... that the SAE J2954 guides the electric vehicle driver over the wireless charging spot by triangulating on the charger's signal?
  • New enough, long enough. Well written and cited. Appears to be within policy. The article is highly technical and I appreciate the difficulty in finding a hook that is not boring and interesting to a broad audience. I find this hook a little boring, it just states the purpose of the standard. Maybe something about how the standard supports a targetting system so the driver sees on the display when they are close enough to the charger port? MB 22:57, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

Maury Markowitz, I like the gist of it. I made some changes in ALT1a to make it more appealing to a "broad audience". I don't think that many people would recognize SAE and the standard number really doesn't mean anything to most people. If you are OK with this version I think we will be good to go. @Maury Markowitz: thank you. I did see that source and the associated sentence Multiple sensors in the VA use this signal to triangulate the pad and display targeting information to the driver on an in-car display. I guess what I'm having trouble with is the hook language that says the system works by triangulating on the charger's signal, whereas the article says it works by triangulate the pad.
