EDITING

This article is a good start on the very basic overview of EDNOS, however there is so much that could be added to it, and none of the information is that hard to find either. I would definitely recommend adding much more information to the page, such as where to get help for EDNOS or a hotline help number. Also more organization would be helpful as well as better citations. Kmlose93 (talk) 18:20, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kmlose93, please review WP:MEDMOS on article organization, WP:MEDRS on sourcing guidelines, and WP:NOT. Wikipedia is not a support group; we don't list hotline numbers or give how to advice. Best sources can be found in the linked box at the top of this talk page. Could you please give us a link to your course page and instructor? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:59, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Incompatibility with DSM-5

According to the DSM-5, EDNOS is no longer a classification of feeding and eating disorders. The equivalent disorder is "Otherwise Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder"

It should be noted that Unspecified Feeding or Eating Disorder, as specified by the DSM-5, is not related to the previous concept of EDNOS. Instead, Unspecified Feeding or Eating Disorder is a placeholder diagnosis in the event that enough symptoms have not been observed to make a final clinical decision (i.e. in an Emergency Room situation).

Basically, this article either needs to be deleted or it needs to be altered to point to an article for Otherwise Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED). As it stands, this article is complete misinformation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by NuclearLemon (talkcontribs) 20:36, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
