Why is it used instead of INN?

Agreed, it's something I've always wanted to know. In my opinion it's (a) cultural hegemony, the US always thinks the world should do things their way and refuses to submit to international standards, and (b) drugs cost four times or more the price in the US than in say Canada or the rest of the world, so drugs companies wish to obfuscate drugs purchasing by US consumers by making it seem that certain medications are only available in the USA.Gymnophoria (talk) 11:08, 1 October 2012 (UTC)

List of the approved names
