Ship list

Given the strong hint by the admin over the edit war developing, I put this discussion here for greater accessibility.

As of late, I have been reverted certain edits to the ship list. These edits to the ship list have a gross lack of supporting reliable sources (WP:RS), and make these claims difficult (if not impossible) to verify (WP:VERIFY). For these reasons, I have reverted those edits in favour of the list which is generously supported by reliable sources. This latter list provides a superior basis for future additions - with supporting sources, naturally.

For anybody interested, the China Military Online articles referenced in the list were used because those articles were republished on the PRC MoD website. There may be other articles like that on the PRC MoD website that could help fill in the gaps.

Also for the record, I made my concerns known to both User:AlvinGr on 27 July 2015 and again on 1 Aug 2015, and anon IP 84.30.32.14 on 2 Aug 2015, who have been reverting the list to the unsupported version, and received no reply. Protected edit request on 5 August 2015

It has been noticed by military observers that follow the developments of the Chinese Navy, that someone is deliberately editing incorrect information on the 056 Corvette. This also applies to the 054A page. Going by official Western and Chinese sources there are currently 22 active vessels in the Chinese fleet (a correct table of this information exists prior to the wiki hacker reverting the table back to 14 active vessels). Please could you restore the original build table.

As wiki represents the main reference point for internet info, its important that internet users worldwide have the best upto information, and are not subject to a single persons personal abuse of the system.

As I pointed out in the previous talk section above, the previous version of the ship table failed to satisfy WP:VERIFY. The data was not supported by reliable sources, which was not helped by editors who felt no compunction to WP:PROVEIT. Reversion to the prior version would be inappropriate.
If you claim that there are "official Western and Chinese sources" (by which I mean reliable sources as per WP:RELIABLE) that support the old data (numbers, names, dates, and all) then I can only wonder why you have not added them. - RovingPersonalityConstruct (talk, contribs) 21:33, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

propulsion??

Any info about the propulsion? I would say it is 99% 1 or 2 Diesel Generators. I guess a stronger one for propulsion and a weaker one for board and crew-electric (watching TV via Internet/Satelitte and so on), okay I dont know if a chinese crew gets this luxus^^ But board electric is needed anyway for the important systems of all kinds.
