Talk:Tripod position

I don't buy the importance of accessory muscles for breathing in the tripod position. I rather think this is a clever use of gravity. In the upright position your intercostals need to lift the rib cage upwards to breathe in, i.e. against gravity. In the Tripod position, the rib cage just follows gravity during inhalation. Also, the sources that are supposed to corroborate the present explanation are of low quality. The first one does not contain any information related to the explanation, and the second source is not cited in sufficient detail to check (publisher, city, date, and page are missing).Mhoenicka (talk) 12:32, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
