according to julius ruff "The first two centuries of our period" (16th-17th century) were the period known as the 'General Crisis' not the 17th-18th century. I dont know whether to believe Ruff or this article???
Three more conflicts
There were also three Anglo-Dutch wars:
- First_Anglo–Dutch_War 1652-1654
- Second_Anglo–Dutch_War 1665-1667
- Third_Anglo-Dutch_War 1672-1674
Outdated citations
