Headings

Wouldn't it be better to replace the existing section headings "Mechanisms Inducing SI" and "Lack of Control by Tolerogenic Dendritic Cells and T-regulatory Cells" by the simpler and more general "Causes" and "Risk Factors and Development"?

Unanswered questions

The general reader looking for more information on this disease will surely want to know:

  • What is the incidence of this disease in the general population?
  • What are the risk factors? E.g. sex, race, age, lifestyle, family history etc.
  • What are the signs of its existence?
  • What are the symptoms of this disease?
  • What complications exist?
  • What other conditions coexist with it? (Its "co-morbidities".)
  • How is it treated?
  • Is there a cure?

  • I guess there's somewhere a list of standard questions for health-related articles, or perhaps an article template. Still, this list of questions may serve as a checklist to help editors fill in some gaps.

I updated the article and added sections on Comorbidity, particularly emphasizing COVID-19. The Wikipedia pages for C-Reactive protein and Interleukin 6 have a lot of information that is relevant to this page. I also propose changing the page name to Chronic Systemic Inflammation. The research literature refers to chronic and systemic inflammation interchangeably. I may come back later to add a section on risk factors. I agree with yoyo's previous comment, all those points should be elaborated on in this article.

Have a question. Should this article mention curcumin as a therapy, when the curcumin Wiki page to which it links states that curcumin has no established medical or therapeutic uses? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.76.2.237 (talk) 23:17, 8 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
