Airport name
I think these two airports are the same. The official page says the name is "Sundsvall-Härnösand". The Swedish Wikipedia says "Midlanda". Anybody know which is best? SDC 00:51, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- Midlanda and Sundsvall-Härnösand are two different names for the same airport. As you say, "Sundsvall -Härnösand" is the official name, and "Midlanda" is commonly used alternative. I think this article should stay as it is. --Jorchr 22:34, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, Midlanda was given to the airport after a naming contest in 1945 and is a semiofficial name, as the Swedish Transport Administration uses it on the roadsigns (both advance direction sign and place indication, while the naming convention of LFV for airports simply consists of participating cities followed by "airport".
