The prior SCCM webpage was deleted. I would like to note that this page is exactly the same as many of the other non-profit medical groups on Wikipedia. Check out American Thoracic Society as an example. Our page is exactly like theirs and contains the same non-biased information about our charitble activities. Further, I have written all of the entries myself and not copied them directly from the SCCM website, except for the Mission Statement, which must remain exact. As I am the CEO of the Society, I am authorized to make this entry and to place this information in the Wikipedia for the public good. --Davidjulian13 (talk) 02:04, 15 September 2008 (UTC) David J. Two wikipedia guidelines you might want to read are WP:OTHERSTUFF and WP:COI.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 14:16, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your note. None of the information on the SCCM Wikipedia entry has been copied from the SCCM website or any other source. If you compare the information you will note it has been written exclusively for the Wikipedia entry and appears no where else in the world. It is therefore not a copyright violation. We understand the need for external postings and have added a significant number of external references, mostly to US government references to SCCM activities or peer-reviewed scientific publications. We have also asked unbiased members of the medical community to consider updating our Wikipedia entry and to add to this discussion. We are hopeful these will appear shortly, and will support our entry. Based on this, we believe both of the notices listed at the top of our article should be removed as both have been addressed. --Davidjulian13 (talk) 14:39, 12 October 2008 (UTC) David Martin[reply]

Two of the links you added aren't working -- you might want to check those. Of the working ones you added, none are independent, reliable sources that show the notability of this organization, so the references tag still applies. And as you are still the major contributor, the COI tag still applies.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 16:20, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Getting your director of podcasting to add to the page doesn't cut it, either.--Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:11, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply. I think the references to the Society in articles published with other very reputable organizations or references on US Federal Government healthcare agency websites are certainly independent and reliable sources. However, we will continue to work to find more. And don't be too quick regarding who makes additions and changes. We are in the process of notifying the world-wide critical care community of the page here and asking them to add or change it. You should see more postings soon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.9.167.66 (talk) 20:23, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
