Shupiyan/Shopian
An unregistered user User:117.198.225.232 changed all instances of "Shupiyan" on this page to "Shopian". A quick check in similar articles and other wikipedia confirmed the original Shupiyan as the more popular spelling, so I reverted its changes. I'm noting this here in case there is a genuine debate over the spelling that I have overlooked. - TB (talk) 10:50, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Reading the Indian English language newspapers, "Shopian" seems to be the more common usage. See, e.g. Shopian Incident. --Bejnar (talk) 14:34, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
