Resume-like

The {resumelike} maintenance tag has been added - and removed - several times to this article. It remains resume-like, in my opinion. The article is a good start for what appears to be a genuinely notable photographer, however it is not yet in encyclopedia-like form. I've fixed by removing the lengthy and unencyclopedic list of exhibitions and publications, as well as the collections in which his photography is featured, all per WP:NOTEVERYTHING, as otherwise we get a resume. It's bad enough that this is obviously an autobiography; let's not rub salt in the wound, OK? COI tag

I think that we should discuss here if a COI tag belongs on this article. I removed it, as the editor in question denies having a COI, but only of being in contact with the subject. This has been reverted on the basis of that explanation. Look, I agree that there is strong evidence of COI editing. But this is a BLP. The COI tag itself has BLP implications. We have to exercise utmost care. I just don't see how we can justify a COI tag on this article just because an editor claims he was in contact with the subject. The editors who have raised COI issues have done so rationally, in good faith, and in my opinion correctly. But I don't see what we can do about it.   • The article and recent past versions were hidden by a copyvio notice, so I couldn't actually see it until today.On reviewing the edits and circumstances, and especially the ridiculously exhaustive and unencyclopedic character of the material that has been added to this article, I no longer have a problem with that tag. BLP sources tag

I've tagged for notability. This article is at best at the cusp. Also I see no substantiation for the information about his job at the nonprofit. The subject is notable based on these criteria, of which he meets multiple. Is there a better criteria to reference? There were items removed from the article that were cited, such as significant publications, exhibitions, collections, etc., to make the page less resume-like—should a few of those be added back in with citations? To address your other point, the problem was not just that the article read like a resume but that in large measure it was sourced to a resume. There is a lack of coverage about the photographer in secondary sources to justify an exhaustive list of exhibitions and collections. It turned the article into a vanity piece. Also, what other material needs to be sourced in the current article for the "needs additional citations" tag to be resolved? It appears everything in the article is properly cited. Thanks.
