Sourcing and structure

I went through and trimmed primary sources and unreliable sources. Needs more work on sourcing. I also restructured this per MEDMOS.

Looking at Wikipedia for just a bit of foundation...

  • there are 9 current articles that start with "Radiation Induced..."
  • zero start with "Radiation therapy-induced..."

RE your title suggestions, there's several presentations of this neuropathy problem based upon on area of the body being irradiated. The medical community (i.e., from viewing their ICD-10 diagnoses list) hasn't yet localized their numbers to any of the individual areas. Their code is G62.8- Other specified polyneuropathies; Radiation-induced polyneuropathy being mentioned as an example. Maybe they never will number-ize specific areas. So, back to your broad consolidating title idea, YEP!, you might be in-line with ICD's layout. Just make allowance for subsections specific to individual nerve regions, i.e., brachial, lumbar, etc. Some have a following of members, a shared problem, shared circumstances, a badge of courage. Don't take that away from them.

  1. Breast (brachial). Sometimes referred as RIBP, has the volume of literature discussion.
  2. The lower spinal cord/claudia equina has the oldest history (1948). Referred as PLMNS, Postradiation Lower Motor Neuron Syndrome.
  3. My Lumbar-sacral plexus, RILP, appeared later.
  4. Myelopathy is another subset, that of the spinal cord.
  5. Oh yeah, Late Effects of [Radiation Therapy, Radiotherapy, Cancer Treatment] are other article subject headings.

Okay :User:Jytdog All {mcn's} are resolved. The //Outcomes// section needs populated. Then your scope change suggestion will need attention.

  • ... trying to visualize how to integrate the individualities (history, symptoms) of each presenting condition into a single document. i.e., Head drop is associated with cranial procedures, forearm problems with breast/brachial plexus, bladder and rectal control issues, etc. Breast even has a unique history where hypo-fractionated doses were used, showed excessive side effects, then were abandoned after years of clinical use. ...
  • the Style Manual says to put all these items into a Classification section.
  • ???
  • any guidance?
