Exclusivity status of Seroquel XR.

Maybe some research about the exclusivity status of Seroquel XR should be done. The "Dosage" section mentions 2017 as the year of expiration of such exclusivity. However, I just got my refill for 150mg tablets, and got a Generic made by Teva, and named Teva Quetiapine XR.

Update: Here are some links about the subject. It seems that AstraZeneca's patent on the XR formula was challenged, and the challenge was upheld in court.

Quetiapine and Anxiety

Hi everyone. I've been taking Quetiapine for a long time, and can definitely say it has a good effect on Anxiety. It helps you relax and feel better, and its a great medication. I've been searching for good sources for that, although its already stated in the article itself it can be used for anxiety, I believe. But let me say this. Qutiapine definitely helps with all 3 major problems, which are Depression, Anxiety and Schizophernia. The only problem is it makes you very sleepy. I've been taking the lowest dose, 25 mg, so I can be able to focus on work and studies, and so on. This is an amazing medication which had changed my life. Problem with one of the papers referenced in regards to quetiapine's antihistamanergic activitiy.

Hello, i was reading one of the papers in reference to the receptor binding affinity table on the wiki page and its binding affinities/actions on the respective receptors.

One of the reference papers, which was not paywaled (which i may add was quite high quality), clearly did state that it believes to be an antagonist, and not just an inverse agonist, with the statement "Quetiapine is a histamine H1 receptor antagonist", now this does not prove it is (although i strongly believe it is), but considering the quality of this paper i am more learning towards being convinced of this claim.

This is all fine and dandy, and to be clear, i am still genuinely convinced quetiapine is a full H1 antagonist, however the paper i take issue with , mentions within the abstract, that the histamine 1 receptor blockade is as a result of Clozapine, and while somewhat similar drugs, are not the same as quetiapine, now in the full paper, it goes on to test Astemizole for histamine blockade, which is a completely different drug from quetaipine, and at no point in the full paper is quetiapine even mentioned in regards to the H1 receptor or antihistamangerigc activity at all
