• what is the terapy of phlebitis? Terapy?
• what is the treatment of phlebitis? usually anti-inflammatories either by mouth which may cause stomach upset, anal pessary (safer) but may cause some iritation (rare) or skin gels, usually IBUPROFEN though absorption rate is poor. Injection of some anti-inflammatories (bloody painful, as often, if susetible to one, will react against others. Brand name of other drugs: Voltarol

Cause?

I don't see a cause described for Phlebitis. Is it a lack of exercise? Purely genetic? more info would help... Dinkytown talk 06:51, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

There is no "phlebitis" as described here. What is described is a lymphatic infection or inflamation. Don't forget that lymphatics run superficial but at parallel to the saphenous vein plan. Phlebitis means usually thrombophlebitis and is the vein thrombosis. All terms with itis suffix mean infection or inflammation except phlebitis or thrombophlebitis which means thrombosis.
