Useful table of success rates

I've just added a link to Wong et al's 2019 analysis (Wong CH, Siah KW, Lo AW. Estimation of clinical trial success rates and related parameters. Biostatistics. 2019 Apr 1;20(2):273-86.), which includes a useful summary table. I lack the editing skills to create a table showing the findings; perhaps someone could take this on? Am sure readers would find it useful! Thanks Robma (talk) 11:28, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Wen D House: Interesting. I could set up a table but what data should we include? There is a lot here, too much to bring to this article.
This paper considers clinical trials. registered in the United States ClinicalTrials.gov, so I think it is not globally representative. I still think we could include it. Blue Rasberry (talk) 11:40, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Is this page meant to cover International Pipeline or just US?

Most references are FDA. Is this a page on US drug development? what about EC UK or Japan? 24.246.137.99 (talk) 16:29, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The article sources show that the phases of clinical trials described are used worldwide, including mention by the World Health Organization. It can be assumed that approval of a drug or any medical product for marketing in the USA, as regulated by the FDA, is a goal most manufacturers wish to achieve for the size and visibility the US market provides. This may explain why FDA sources - which are rigorous and updated frequently - are useful explanations for the trial process in the article.
Also used by multinational trial sponsors, the US National Library of Medicine provides a registry of clinical trials in their different phases ongoing or completed around the world. Zefr (talk) 17:35, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
