Nykt vs Nykta

from Greek νύκτ-, nykt- "night".......the proper word in Greek in νύχτα. Written in english letters it is nykta. Also ὄψ or ops does not means eyes. In fact I don't even think it's a word..— Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.8.224.245 (talk) 22:01, 17 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed terms

According to my dictionary, hemeralopia is night blindness and nyctalopia day blindness, the opposite of what you say. Sanne

For those who are interested, and don't have Smith's fascinating tome to hand, the complete reference for moon blink is:

MOON-BLINK. A temporary evening blindness occasioned by sleeping in the monshine in tropical climates; it is technically designated nyctalopia.Can happen at birth, or be caused by injury/lack of Vitamin A
