Talk:Nicolas Le Novère

More than two years have elapsed since I asked for the deletion of this page. After my sentencing, I lost my job, all my social network, the quasi-totality of my friends. My wife petitioned for divorce. If I ever was notable in some circles, I am no longer. I served my sentence and just want to disappear. But this WP page is a life sentence, for me as for my family since my surname is extremely rare. The result is a complete disproportionate punishment. I am aware of the WP rules regarding WP:COI. I am just calling to whoever is out there to AfD once more on compassionate grounds. Nicolas Le Novere.

Update. A new sentencing bill has been enacted in the UK on April 28 2022, specifying that my sentence was "spent" 1 year after the end of the sentence and any licence period. The purpose is to improve rehabilitation by removing the obligation to declare the conviction, and removing it from basic criminal record checks (it remains on standard and advanced checks, so the conviction is not erased or hidden from people in the need to know). This page make this Rehabilitation of Offender Act measure ineffective.

Nicolas Le Novere.
