Merger with Charcot Arthropathy

I agree with the merger tag, as they both describe the same disease. The Neuropathic arthropaty article is written better than the Charcot Arthropathy article, and thus care should be taken to not disturb its material too much. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.239.52.169 (talk) 19:24, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree too. Mikael Häggström (talk) 15:44, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Appropriate use of images

I don't see the reason for the use of the picture of the ulcer, also I feel that (if it is kept) it should be further down the page so that is not on view as the page opens in a browser - it is unexpected & gruesome. Alanthehat (talk) 22:16, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Alan, fyi, it can be and IS a gruesome condition for those who cannot handle looking at the wounds of a charcot foot, or even on the hands. Even the metal frame on a part of the body of someone whose joints or bones required surgery and needed to heal with that specialized equiptment is pretty gruesome. Whats really gruesome are those who would continually relegate any disability that bothers their senses to a back burner, or in this case, as hidden as you can get it. Hang onto your hat alan, it can be even uglier than the photo provided. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.249.125.97 (talk) 23:45, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree this is not that gruesome as far as ulcers go, but I don't think the picture is appropriate as I don't think this is a foot with charcot neuroarthropathy. There are better pictures of an ulcer that is caused by classic rocker bottom seen in neuroarthopathy. This one is not labelled as a charcot foot, does not appear to have a rocker bottom, and is really more typical of a decubitus ulceration in its location. Neuropathy might play a role, but when I think of these ulcers, this is not what I see. 2600:6C86:9240:7:2053:F410:3DF6:BD9B (talk) 22:00, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
