Piracetam
It appears that piracetam reduces lipofuscin in rats. (Paula-Barbosa, M. et al (1991) "The effects of Piracetam on lipofuscin of the rat cerebellar and hippocampa; neurons after long-term alcohol treatment and withdrawal" Alcoholism:Clin Exp Res 15, 834-38.) Surely, it must have some effect on NCL? If not, then why not? Is the rat study reaching a wrong conclusion? linas 18:32, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
