The article is factually incorrect. NHS Blood and Transplant was created to take over three organisations, each as separate operating divisions, and not two as the article states. The three are: the National Blood Service (created in 1946); the Bio Products Laboratory (created in 1954) and UK Transplant.

Wall of life

I've removed some info regarding the "wall of life" as it was added by a PR company for the NHS Lawton communications. It might be worthy of inclusion but in light of the obvious conflict of interest I've removed it. Smartse (talk) 16:37, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The anonymous editor who made the earlier edits is indeed an employee of Five by Five Media, a division of Lawton Communications, which probably created the website. There have been a number of instances of editing which was or verged on advertising from the anonymous IP used, 81.171.236.62 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). The person who made the edits has appealed to unblock-en-l. I am not going to unblock the IP address as I suspect several people from the firm are using the address, but will offer to create an account for the individual involved. I have counseled her regarding Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations. I also found two reasonably good references and restored the information. Merge proposal

I'm suggesting that National Blood Service be merged into this article as it now forms a major part of the NHS Blood and Transplant organisation, and there is a lot of overlap between the two articles. The NBS content could be slimmed down and merged here easiler to create a stronger article. Cloudbound (talk) 23:02, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
