CS1 maint: overridden setting -- fixing the page and removing it from the error / warning category

Hello @Zefr:

I wanted to reach out regarding your recent edit on the Melanoma page. I noticed that you reverted my edit https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Melanoma&oldid=prev&diff=1199500250 where I fixed an error. I just wanted to provide some additional arguments for why my edit should be considered.

Firstly, when the display-authors limitation is set in the main template "cs1 config", as it is on this page, it automatically applies to all citations on the page. This means that there is no need to set it again in each individual citation. In fact, doing so can cause issues and result in the page being placed in the "CS1 maint: overridden setting" category. My edit fixed this problem and removed the page from this category.

Furthermore, the page already has the "{{cs1 config |name-list-style=vanc |display-authors=6}}" setting in place. If there is a duplicate of this setting in each individual "{{cite}}" or at least one "{{cite}}", it will also result in the page being placed in the "CS1 maint: overridden setting" category. My edit ensured that there were no duplicates and removed the page from this category.

Overall, my edit was made with the intention of improving the page and ensuring that it adheres to Wikipedia's guidelines. I kindly ask that you consider restoring my edit.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

Remove "Malignant"?

The text says that the use of "malignant" with "melanoma" is deprecated, since all melanomas are malignant. Yet the article has many instances of "malignant melanoma", particularly in the picture gallery. Is there any reason not to remove the word "malignant" from these?
